We visited the Crooked house on 11th of February for a meal and a drink. We was welcomed in the restaurant area after a short wait.Overall a pleasant experience the restaurant has a lovely ambient atmosphere and the food is of good quality. The staff are very friendly towards customers. We would defiantly visit this place again when in the... More

Surprised to be the only customers on a Friday lunchtime. Checked to see if food was availability, it was. Staff very attentive as you would expect being all alone. No Banks bitter available in a Marston's house. The crab and avocado salad for starters but where was the crab and avocado? Pulled pork rolls with chips and garnish acceptable but... More

Considering the history and quirkiness of the building and the fact you have to travel to get to it you'd think they'd go overboard to be welcoming and friendly. Theres no doubt the building alone is worth visiting but the service and whole experience could be so much better, plastic cups if you're drinking outside just doesn't cut it and... More

Bar staff are very unwelcoming & borderline rude. Had absolute no conversation/customer service skills!

We visited for the experience of being at this renowned location. The building definitely give the wow factor on first glance but nothing could prepare you for walking inside. It's just an amazing optical illusional experience. After overcoming trying to order lunch and drinks from some very challenging staff we settled down in front of a lovely open fire. The... More

Friendly staff and unusual building but the food was disappointing. I would visit again but I wouldn't recommend eating there.

We have been here about four times over the past 6 months and have never been disappointed. All the food is locally bought in. We have the faggots every time we go and they are really good. My husband had the pheasant kiev, which was an unusual dish well prepared on a bed of beans and bacon. The young lad... More

From the very first call when i booked the table to the very last thank you and good night the customer service here was excellent. The surroundings are clearly quirky but that adds to the experience. Inside a friendly and comfortable restaurant, almost a homely feel,. Food , we given complimentary baked crisps to nibble on whilst we waited for... More
