She obviously felt customers were a nuisance!! Perhaps it was a personality clash with me but when my partner later asked her for something she got the look... More

We had lunch here earlier in the week. We received a warm welcome and enjoyed plentiful freshly prepared food in a friendly and relaxing atmosphere. The menu for the main courses were varied, the dessert menu perhaps less so. Portions of food were ample for our needs. There is also parking at the rear - always a problem in Chipping... More

I was totally disgusted with the service . The server was rude , untidy ( dirty finger nails ) un friendly he totally ruined our evening. I will never go there again . No back ground music . For a lovely village this pub is terrible. Prices all round outrageous. Great rid of him and you might get more customers.... More

In my previous review I believe I described the burger as one of the best I had tasted, so naturally I was very tempted to have another one. However, we got chatting to the very friendly... More

The pub is nice and the barman very friendly. The evening dinner was by far the worst food I've had in a pub or restaurant in many years. The salads looked like they had been sitting out all day covered in the (now congealed) dressing, with everything limp and shrivelled. The duck seemed like it had been re-heated several times... We spent some time looking for a place for a bar lunch and finally came across this good local friendly pub. The food was very good and the prices reasonable we would return.

Came for a drink one night, very welcoming, so we came for food for the following night. Again same welcome, nice varied menu, no fuss no frills, great pub. Looking forward to going back.
