Having to make a visit to the nearby Opera House called in the place around six o'clock and as expected was busy. Had a little trouble finding a table but when found it was clean. Easy ordering food and it was delivered in a reasonably short time considering the amount of people in the premises. Food was tasty enough and... More

Popped in here during a trip to Manchester needed somewhere to watch the rugby.....lovely pub, really really busy. Eventually got our bums parked, TVs all around so not really any bad viewing points whether standing or sitting. Good beer and good prices, £6:40 for a cask pint and a gin and tonic, we pay more than that in our local!!... More

We visited here during our Manchester trip it was a nice bar to have a drink in the afternoon, I can't comment on the evening as we didn't visit then. We were going to call for breakfast one morning but we ended up going somewhere else. The prices were reasonable for drinks and food.

Give the the 5ft 6 black haired lad a knight hood! The service he gave me whilst pouring a pint of Guinness was impeccable. Also he served various flavours of crisps, in which i had ready salted. Went down a treat with my Guinness

Popped in for a drink with a friend on Thursday night and was spoken to in a disgraceful manner by the young lad who worked behind the bar. We asked if he could switch one of the TV's playing darts to the rugby and he refused and than started being really rude and aggressive about it even though me and... More

Lively pub with a comfortable atmosphere. Plenty of seating. Didn't have food so can't comment. Have to be careful with price consistency with drinks as charge different prices for same drinks - one of the male barman with close cut beard. DJ Gem played some excellent music on the Saturday night

Management response:

Thank you for your feedback, we hope to see you again at the weekend when Dj Gem is back. Sorry about the price confusion with your drinks, will chase up on that with our staff members More

I wouldn't go to this establishment again. Not made to feel welcome at all. Spoken to in an appalling manner

Firstly, what did we expect from the place, I'll be honest, not much. What we did get, was good honest 'pub grub' done really well. Hey, this place isn't ever going to be a top notch restaurant, but what it does, it does well. The wife had a chip shop platter (a huge fish, chips, battered sausage, peas, chip shop... More
