We visited last night to celebrate our engagement which happened the same day. Booked in advance with a booking note explaining we would be engaged on our visit, no effort was made to make our evening extra special. Not even a congratulations was given - such a shame as the food and wine was good, but I feel this is... More

Food was exceptional.... had the Scallops with butternut squash for starter followed by the stuffed Seabass on braised fennel which was to die for (and I'm not a usual lover of fennel).... dessert was tarte aux pommes served with THE most amazing toffee ice-cream. Our waiter was a young French guy who was totally attentive, engaged with us throughout the... More

It was a joy to spend my 60th birthday here. The food was really beautifully prepared and presented and the waiter, Lukas, was nothing short of charming. We will return!

First visit to this restaurant last on these premises when it was the Manchester institution Market Restaurant. Despite being their only customers - it was a very cold January night we were warmly and professionally served . The food was excellent, well presented quality ingredients superbly cooked - 5 stars. Highlights the lobster ravioli and the partridge. The courses served... More

As a birthday treat a friend gave a a £50 voucher to spend at this restaurant as she'd heard good reviews. First lets talk about the service.....my wife and I waited for 15 mins before the waiter eventually came and gave us the menu and asked if we wanted any drinks...NB: It wasn't busy as I counted another 4 diners.... Headed here for a meal with friends and having read the reviews our expectations were high. They shouldn't have been. The food was tasteless and overpriced, the decor felt dated and the service was average. The lobster ravioli tasted of absolutely nothing and whilst the fillet steak was ok (there are far better available in Manchester), it was served with... More

We were very disappointed and really wish we would have heeded some of the reviews. The food was bland and boring and -63 degree below average. The pork was dryer than Ghandi's flip flops! That's if it was pork. The monk fish was that rubbery you could have used it on a squash court. The front of house staff were... More

Came here for lunch. The restaurant is crisp and clean. A good wine list with descriptions of all the French wines and champagnes available. The main menu is not huge but enough to find something you like. The waiter was not friendly and quite stiff, almost looking down his nose at us. Forgot to offer us bread and then we... More

Food bland, completely underwhelming and massively overpriced for the standard. Waiting staff quite rude and the service was slow. Would not recommend.

Three of us spent a lovely evening at this restaurant - we were apprehensive after reading the reviews, however to no avail. The food was lovely, wine excellent, service impeccable and ambience great. We did have to wait a while for our table but were offered a drink whilst we waited. Would most definitely visit again. Reminded me of Paris.

Description
Our celebrated restaurant is re-opening in bigger and better premises in the former Market Restaurant on High Street in the Northern Quarter.

A brand new location. A brand new menu. The same exquisite French cuisine

And to celebrate our move, we have new menus and a new wine list.

Our goal has always been to bring you a taste of Paris, with dishes such as our Pea consomme and poached quail egg, Pan fried sea bass, Duckling fillet, chocolate fondant and, of course, coffee served at the perfect temperature - 63°.

As well as more covers, our wonderful new premises means we can now offer our diners an outside terrace and private function room.

One thing that hasn’t changed is our commitment to serving exquisite French cuisine in a relaxed and welcoming environment.

We look forward to welcoming you to our new home.
