Really nice steak restaurant, friendly and knowledgeable staff. Great range of steaks and sides cooked to perfection and fantastic deserts! As over TA reviews have mentioned this place isn't cheap and they do add a service charge as standard, wine is overpriced as well. But as a special treat is hard to beat.

Returning customers to Gaucho Manchester. Observations: would recommend as a first visit. But be prepared for the expense. Request tap water. You won't require a starter as you have breads with a dip before your meal. Be aware of the 12.5% service charge which is automatically added to your bill.(I generally resent this as a public sector worker). The staff were... More

My two friends & I visited Gaucho on Saturday night for my birthday. It was my first visit to Gaucho & I've always been keen to try it having recently dined at nearby Hawksmoor. Our table was booked for 7.45pm. Due to unavoidable circumstances, one of my friends arrived 20 minutes late, which was not a problem for the staff... More

After several visits over the years I stopped coming here about three years ago due to poor service - at the prices it charges it should be second to none. In this period a number of rival places have opened, in particularly Hawksmoor which I dare say has hit trade. We decided to try it again, partly due to Hawkmoor... More

This place is like no other! -The steaks are out of this world. - Coat and bag storage on arrival makes entry into the main restaurant hassle free. - Ideal for any special occasions as it is slightly expensive but definitely worth a trip. - Stylistically done/ very elegant. - Just be sure to have your phone torch at the... Very good food with a calm atmosphere. The steaks are great, the meet is good quality and it comes with the requested cooking temperature (with some exceptions though!). Tried rump and fillet steaks so far and both were great. The deserts are very good as well. The apple crumble ... mmm ... yummy! The place is a bit pricy but... More

Ate Wednesday evening at 19:30, place was half empty so no pressure on staff = very good table service. We had high expectations for the food so had the chateaubriand as it was a birthday treat and never tried it. Nothing to complain about. It is what it is and worth the price no doubt about it. The grumble is... More

Well over priced. Just called in for drinks 2 drinks - price was £17.33. Nearly fell over at the bar. There was a service charge of £1.90 - we had actually stood at the bar and ordered so no idea why this was applied. When we questioned the bill they did know this charge off. Nice far but clearly paying... More
