We were there for dinner. You may dine outside if weather is available. Just little English is spoken. I had foie gras which was tasteless. But the tripe was just good. I think that there is no need to recommend this place, it was just ordinary. There are better places (e.g. Restaurant Pfeffel- L' Atelier du Paintre) to dine in... More

I'm surprised that more people don't mention how the location is immediately against the main canal. This is one of the more photographed locations in Colmar, with the canal boats (Jon Boats, with Minnkota motors, but still...) silently gliding by during their tours of Petite Venise. In the sunshine they remove the cover. In the rain, they open it and... More

Although little English is spoken here (fun if you are trying hard on your French!) the service was attentive and friendly. Very good value carafes of wine - as you would expect at a winstub! Foie gras was nice, pork knuckle was ample (!!) and the tourte de la vallee was rather dry but still tasty. A good all round... More

The menu was easy to follow and the service was excellent! Our food arrived swiftly and provided us with more than enough to eat. Each plate had it's own personality and gave us the chance to experience Colmar cuisine at it's finest!

After 3 weeks of our biannual European trip we hit a home run. Many restaurants were closed, but ran across Wistub and it punched the ticket. Great service followed by a classic Alsatian menu executed with precision. We enjoyed a huge slab of foie and head cheese followed by steak and knuckle that was spectacular. Real portions and a very... More

We visited this restaurant during Christmas vacations. Although it was almost full, the staff was very-very friendly and nice. They also speak fluent English. The food was very tasteful too. Definitely a recommended Wistub to visit!

We have dined here before, but they changed attitude, avoid this place especially during christmas times. Food was average and owner very arrogant, there are much more cozy places and better food in Colmar.

it is a touristy area so it is hard to know what to expect, but on a very busy Sunday when the place was packed, we had a very enjoyable meal

This is a fine little restaurant by the canal. We ate perfectly plump escargots out of the shells, delicious; wonderful onion pie with a small salad; a main plate of cheese, ham, roasted potato; and, the boiled version of crispy schweinhocken with potato salad, pickles and a side salad. The meal was delicious and reasonable.
