We ate here having walked past the night before and seen that it was really busy. There was a good choice of food on the menu including local specialities. We sat at a table outside and the terrace was continually full throughout the evening which gave it a nice atmosphere. My husband had a steak with pepper sauce which was... More

We had a dinner in the restaurant 30.10.2016. The service is very poor and the food terrible. The only choice-able stuff is vine.

A nice lunch with tasty farmers salad, quiche, and ice cream for dessert. This place is best if you want local tasty treats, fairly fast service, and are on the move to other places. It was busy, but locals seemed to really be a large part of the clientele, and they love the bar!

Very popular eatery close to the centre of town near the cathedral, with a quaint interior. There are a good range of dishes including typical Alsatian dishes, specialising in Roesti's. We particularly enjoyed the Roesti Diable, with pork steak and mustard. The traditional desserts are very good with massive portions. The range of beers is average, but we found the... More

The location is great at the center of Colmar near 'little venice'. We were looking forward to having a great lunch in the sun. Unfortunately the food (fish, meat and salads) were all terrible. Not to mention the rude and slow service. So...if you really want this location, go for the drinks only....

Went to Schwendi for lunch while in Colmar. Great Salade Provençal: tuna, egg, onion, tomato, bread, good price. My friend had chicken cordon blue. Excellent, with a salad. Very helpful and attentive staff. Comfortable atmosphere. Kid friendly. Outdoor and indoor seating.

So many tables and always full! We ordered one of the Roesti cast iron dishes with sausages. So good! Maybe just being in Colmar made every meal taste wonderful.

Convenient fun family venue of hardy ( meat and potatoes) although lots of cheese Alsatian style food. Good service; waiters multilingual. Vegetarians need not apply.

We had a pleasant dinner outside for an average price (17€ per person). Quick service and good food (quiche & pork with a fantastic salad). The portions were big.

We both had the house tarte flambé and they weren't great. The base was virtually raw to the extent you could cut it. To be fair the food on the table next to use (rosti) looked great so maybe we were unlucky with our choice. Also the outside seating was more or less infested with wasps which whilst might be...
