Went here with my wife on our first night in Bordeaux. The restaurant looks so inviting from outside. Price is good. Service is good. It's also great to watch the chef cook over the hot coals. Quality of food is ok. I had a "rib eye" steak, but it was full of grizzle which was disappointing. Serving was generous. I... More

We decided to have dinner here while walking by, when our previous plans fell through. Having been in France already for two weeks and done multiple tasting menus, we were happy to find a restaurant that did high quality, simply prepared and "light" (at least by French standards!) cooking techniques. We were not sure if it was a fusion of... More

Bistro/home style cooking here with some classic dishes but nothing memorable - all dishes that we could have easily prepared ourselves at home. The food was similar to what many of our Television chefs presented in the 1970s & 80s...so quite old fashioned and the decor of the restaurant was similarly dated. We like traditional/authentic French cooking but this was... More

They are only open for dinner. The indoor seating is nicely decorated. They have set menus, but with several choices. There is also a la carte menu. We picked the cheapest set menu at 14 euros a person, and the food was delicious, fresh, nicely presented. The staff was most welcoming, accommodating and the service was great. This was a very... The food was typically French Bourgeois. Inexpensive and plainly presented. Service was smooth and inobtrusive. Watching the cooking was a bonus

Great resurant with plenty of inside seating if you don't like the constant cigarette smoke of most outside seating. The set menu is great value and there is a quite a few choices. Wines are well priced. The service and friendliness of the owner keeps you coming back. Should be ranked higher.

On the final night of a two-week touring holiday this ranks as the best meal and most enjoyable evening. The host was friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable, speaking excellent English but being kind enough to indulge our halting French. A good choice and range of dishes and wines, priced sensibly and excellent value.

Eight of us celebrated my parents' 50th wedding anniversary here, during our four night stay in Bordeaux....and we all returned for our final evening meal because we were so impressed. We had not read any reviews. We simply chose this restaurant on seeing the menu and looking through the window when passing. Choosing either the 3 or 4 course menu... More

we really liked this restaurant located at a corner of a very busy street. salmon and lamb were both very good and service was also very good. wine was nice. so why not a 10/10. well while neither of us indulge in large portions, we thought the quantity of both dishes was a little small. overall a big recommendation though

Went there with friends. Service was excellent with appropriate counselling concerning the menu. The place was bounded so it is advisable to reserve before going. The menu chosen for each one of us was really excellent One of the best restaurants value for money in bordeaux
