This was really a great surprise. Local food. We ate like the locals did and it was quite a treat. I had something called runny eggs-- wow what an experience. Go there while visiting the wineries and you will be very happy.

We were seated quickly, having a reservation but after 18 minutes had not been offered a beverage or had a server even make eye contact. We left and ate at a small restaurant in Pauillac, where we received quick pleasant service even though the restaurant...More
Located at the center of the town (several minutes walk from Château Lynch Bages), Cafe Lavinal is an excellent cafe with friendly waitresses. The dishes are delicious. Outside tables are perfect for enjoying the soothing breeze of Bordeaux.
When in the Pauillac & Margaux area, search out this excellent restaurant. The hostess/wait staff are prompt, courteous & upbeat. The cuisine is outstanding- if available try running eggs & then steak/potatoes for lunch/dinner = outstanding. Recommend calling ahead for reservations, especially for outside dining.

Service was pleasant, fast and efficient. Somewhat unusual for France. The meal was perfectly French and really good. The restaurant, which is in the Chateau, made you feel as if you were in a small French village. We started out with the charcuterie and it...More
Considering we were staying at the sister property Cordeillan-Bages hotel with Michelin 1 star restaurant, we were disappointed with our family dinner here. Nice looking bistro with outdoor dining, but service was terrible and food was nothing special. Our food took so long that we...More
