We couldn't do the food justice, as we had had a big lunch that day and couldn't finish the generous main course. We'd like to go back when we're hungrier. The food is beautifully presented. The service is friendly and efficient. The place has a good atmosphere, busy but unhurried.

The excellent cooking and friendly staff alone would justify seeking out the Bouchon Bordelais (tucked away near the grand theatre). Nevertheless the diminutive scale of this bistrot means you will probably have to plan ahead. Menus and wine are fairly priced and the dining room buzzed with a happy Anglo-French crowd. The cannele I had with my coffee was the... More

A repeat visit to what must be one of Bordeaux's hidden gems. Delicious food/ great wines and a bill at the end that was very reasonable given the quality. You have to book well in advance as it is extremely popular

We were so looking forward to dining here, my husband will say we ordered the wrong choices, I think none would have been great - there are only about 4 for each course and we tried half of them! Nice atmosphere, friendly and welcoming but I think they are trying too hard with the food. Loved the amuse bouche -... More

The first day we come here it was full. So we made reservations for the lunch of the next day. I expected too much good for this restaurant. The service looks like" you are already so lucky because we let you in" , no smile, no welcome, if you don't ask no explanation for the menu neither. They served us... More

First you must prebook if you are coming here. The restaurant is one small square room with about thirty covers. Because of this the ambience is very special and intimate. Menu is interesting and limited which is a great combination. Wine list good. Had some great lobster with some mixed tabouleh- so tasty. A night to remember.

Excellent food, great service and great wine. Lovely restaurant, warm and friendly and we were very lucky to get the last table without booking. So do make a reservation if you want to be sure of a great dinner.

This was recommended to us from our Bordeaux Wine Trails tour guide and what a recommendation! It's a small spot just off a busy street, and the two of us got the last table available (many were reserved so I suggest making reservations especially if your party is larger than two)! The menu was completely in French but the two... More

I visited this restaurant with my mom (86) on a Saturday evening in October (2016). I had made a reservation in advance and had mentioned that my mom has a hearing difficulty and the restaurant said we could have a corner table. On arrival it was waiting for us. This is a really lovey place. The warm friendly atmosphere, the... More

We had a really nice meal in this restaurant . Everything we ate was excellent . Lobster and scallop starters , mains fillet steak and veal all cooked to perfection . The service and ambience in the restaurant were also great . I will definitely return to this restaurant if I visit Bordeaux again
