We always stop here for lunch on the way back to UK, catching the ferry in the evening The staff are always attentive, the food is excellent, good choice of wine I love eating here as it always feels like an occasion with the perfect service No worries about the food, excellent every time I can't wait until we visit... I was reluctant to go for a meal here having had some fantastic meals over many years and having seen that it has changed hands and some mixed reviews. On a Wednesday evening in October a lot of restaurants were closed and we decided that the 35 euro menu looked good value. Overall the food was very good, the service... More

Four of us enjoyed a great meal here. We chose the 35 euro menu and I had the mackerel followed by the lamb with a red saumur champigny to accompany. Watch out for the gin and tonic aperatifs which can be exceptionally pricey and not good valu. Stick to the kir vin blanc which was delicious. The waiter was attentive... More

This place has a long-term excellent reputation, but i think its been bought out (or refurbished) recently and looking for its feet. If you're willing to pay you will get a 4 star service and food quality!

Although we hadn't booked, we were offered a table immediately inside the restaurant. The waiters were friendly and professional and the menu was excellent. Many diners enjoyed the lobster and were offered little bibs so as not to get food over their clothes - a lovely detail. We really enjoyed our dinner and found the ambience good too.

Now it's the place to avoid. I had some wonderful meals here in the past and had not been for around three years. The place is living on its reputation. The food is poor, the service OK but hardly professional, the wine list good but expensive. There are dozens of better restaurants within the walls where you will not spend... More

We didn't want to get caught in tourist trap, but as we were only there for 1 night ; we took the plunge. We choose the 79 euro menu each and my husband asked if he could pay extra for a 700 g lobster, rather than 500g .a glass of champagne was included. Oysters and foie gras were great, lobsters... Having walked around for some time we chose this restaurant due to its position and the fish/seafood on offer. The staff were very friendly and the service was very good. The food was generally good - the palourds particularly but the lobster thermidor was disappointing -

On first glance, an obvious "tourist trap" restaurant located at St Vincent's gate as you enter the old walled city of Saint-Malo, but in reality, traditional, old fashioned restaurant service with style. Starched table cloths, attentive maitre d' and a wine list the size of War and Peace. The usual choice of fixed "formule" menus as well as a respectable... More

Really nice restaurant right as you enter the city walls on the left. Great food, friendly service if a bit slow and untrained. Great ambiance, with a very nice covered terrace. I can highly recommend this restaurant.
