Low quality food, tough meat, bad service. The boss was very rude since he found our tip too low. Thats why he refused to accept our 500 € bank note.

Service sucks and food is less than average. It took at least 25 minutes before we could place the order and another 15 minutes from the time I requested the bill and the time I could pay. My escargot de bourgogne (snails), were very small and chewy, they were not even upright on the plate. My steak tartare was drawn... More

Decided to try Chez Gerard for a Sunday lunch. I had been told that the food was good though the service could be a little slow. However there is not a plethora of choices on a Sunday in Tours and I had time so I figured why not? I arrived very shortly after opening time, which when dining by myself... More

Having strolled around the shopping streets of Tours then we moved into the old part of town. Quite a choice of restaurants but we chose this one as the menu suited us. Very friendly and helpful waiter - English spoken if needed. Good menu selection. Service efficient but not rushed as is often the chase in tourist areas. We all... More

Went here after struggling to find somewhere open late on a Sunday. Food was basic, 3 course menu for €25. Waiter seemed really grumpy and unfriendly. Shame this was our first experience of Tours.

4 people we order different menus, foie gras & chicken good and tasty. We order 2 kind of beef and both disaster, looks like garbage on the plate. French beef served in this restaurant its the worst option. Fried potatoes looks better in McDonalds

I use this app often, and always find the reviews very helpful. I didn't check this place out as it was a spur of the moment decision, and looks really nice; however, don't let the menu go. It's the only way you'll know what you are supposed to be eating. Both our meals were totally tasteless and truly awful, only... More

Chose this restaurant over others nearby because the setting and decor looked good. That's a good as it got! Waitress who showed us to our table was "frosty", certainly not welcoming. The waiter who took our order was at best curt; definitely not friendly or helpful. Also turned out he was inattentive as, although I ordered pork, i was served... More

It's really hard to find a restaurant if you are running late around here so after walking around we had to settle for this place. Should of gone back to the hotel and eaten there Duck was leather. Snails were from frozen at a guess. Wine was very over priced and basically Undrinkable Avoid

We had the escalope milanaise and the filet poisson, both were fine but not outstanding. Followed by the moelleux and tarte citron, again fine but not as nice as others we have had.
