Large choice of dishes, all freshly prepared in front of you. Ambiance is quite "cold", but this is still a nice evening out.

Portions good , clean ambiance , service ok. Menus reasonably priced , costs @ 50 Euros a head , sake or drinks included. Sunday evenings are calm . Best order fried rice as an extra .

Nice restaurant to have teppanyaki. Wide choice of menus and within the menus you can choose either salmon, chicken, filet de boeuf, fish, lobster, shrimp. The four of us all chose different plates, but one thing was the same: the great taste. Good portions. Ambiance is rather "clean", not much interaction with the staff.

Hanafousa has a large and interesting menu. If you choose a 'teppanyaki' dish the food is cooked in front of you and served with vegetables also cooked in front of you. Some of the dishes are set alight. Never had Japanese food prepared this way before and I found it very tasty indeed and it was all great fun watching... More

I decided to try the teppanyaki in Hanafousa. I think the food was just so so, not authentic japanese teppanyaki. I would not recommend this.

Teppanyaki shouldn't be difficult to mess up, just have the freshest ingredients, the proper sauces, and train the chef not to do too many theatrics. So this restaurant is all right, but not exceptional. We were pleased with our steak, scallops, salmon, and vegetables. We had steamed rice to go with it, but realized afterward that we should have ordered... More

I had dinner here today with some work colleagues and found it very interesting: the staff were very helpful and kind (no reservations needed) and the ambiance of the place was good (not very intimate since we were sharing the cooking table with another people). Thumbs up for the sea food (scallop, salmon and shrimps) and duck Tepanyaki - very... More

Visited this restaurant twice before when last in Paris which says a lot considering over 3000 restaurants to choose from, after our experience today would never visit again.

We had dinner, the four of us. My wife and to sons, 10 and 14. They have not been much for adventures when it comes to "exotic" (not what they are used too:)) food. But they loved it here. The Teppanyaki chef cooked wonderful food for us, with the usual "swings". The boys where happy. And needless to say, me... More

Staying in Saint-Germain-des-Pres

Neighbourhood Profile
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighbourhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighbourhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.
