Quentin and his mates made room for two hungry urban walkers on a busy Sunday lunch during the coup de feu. We enjoyed our food immensely. Il n’est de sauce que d’appetit say the French but these guys matched our ravenous hunger with some fine...Burgundy-inspired and Italy-kissed cuisine. My tatin of blood pudding was original and crazy yum. My partner’s oeuf meurette was a classic with style. They’re justifiably proud of their deserts. And all this with 4 glasses of excellent Pinot Noir for €100. Excellent value. Good work guys.More

it’s a place where you must let it go, and listen to the chef recommendations. Fresh foods bit of fusion but with a strong « french cuisine » rooted knowledge. In addition you’ll get a friendly advice with wine…and if you like it, you’ll be able to...buy it onsite.More

Our first meal in Paris was delightful, thanks to our excellent server. He (gentleman with a Mexican skull tattoo on his forearm) went out of his way to speak English with our family (3 adults, 2 teens), and engaged in light conversation with us during...the course of our late lunch. I appreciated his attention concerning my food allergies (gluten and milk) and was able to recommend dishes that we all enjoyed. He even showed us the app on our iPhones to help translate the menu! (Google translate) Desserts by highly trained chef were delicious, and he introduced the adults to a foaming liquor "shot" just for fun! Highly recommend!More

A lovely place that at a stroke made up for all the nasty tourist traps that we stumbled into previously on our trip. Everything we tried was delicious and the service was friendly and unpretentious.

We were staying next door to the restaurant and booked a table for 8 of us for Sunday lunch in advance. The menu was great - about 8 starters, mains and desserts to choose from. Everything we had was great. Service from the 2 guys...running the restaurant was superb. Not only attentive (especially as we were at the back of the restaurant), but also fun. We had just come from a restaurant down the road where we had a drink, but the atmosphere there was nowhere near as relaxed as the Cantine de Quentin.... Very good wine selection, and the wines were very good value for what we had. All in all a terrific place to have lunch if you are in the Canal St Martin area of the city.More

We were 5 friends there for dinner. It really feels like a cantine but with high quality food. The sfaff was super friendly and we had good chats. Wine recommendation really good while we are all french and wine lovers. Dishes were very tasty and...well presented ( recommendation on the canard confit and the tartare). We loved the idea of the half dessert, this is such a clever idea !!!!! Great that we can biy everything from the walls ! I would go again.More

We were there for lunch. Since I'm pregnant and it was very hot in the restaurant. We asked if we can sit outside if there's a table free and the staff told us a NO and told us there's someone waiting for outside table so...it's impossible instead of tell us "we'll try to put you in the waiting list". At that time, there's not even one person waiting for a table in the terrasse. In the end, we got a table outside. The staff told me that he said No is because he can't promise us a table and he prefer to give us a surprise. That's the first time i heard it in my life. we probably got the table because he heard that i was really in shock of his reply and complained about it. Despite the very good comments on the website, we were very disappointed of the service and food. The food is ok but nothing really special. We live in this neighborhood for a long time and we tried so many restaurants in the area and in Paris. This is definitely one of the worst experience i had.More

I came back to this great restaurant on a business lunch with 14 collegues. The menu choice is great and the food is absolutely tasty and high quality. The service is also quick and efficient. Everything here is more than positive and the pricing is...very reasonable. I recommend this restaurant greatly and can't wait to be back !More

We just bumped into this wonderful restaurant and were WOWED!!! The risotto St. Jacques! Exquisite!!! And the creme brulee indescribable!!! Then there are the wines AND the perfect service!! Everyone at the various tables had to talk about the amazing dishes they had just been...served!!! If this is what lunch is....who needs dinner??? I will return with other friends knowing I have picked one of the best!!More

It's our last day in Paris so we thought we would refresh ourselves for our 24 hour plane trip with a walk around Canal St Martin. We happened to find Le Cantine de Quentin down a small lane off the Canal, its quirky menu looked...worth a taste. As we read through the menu sipping lovely champagne the place filled with locals who knew to lunch there. The food was better than anticipated :crispy pasta around duck confit with the freshest green salad and scallop risotto! Mmmm Washed down with a stylish Rose and Chardonnay with character followed by delicious desserts in small glasses. The ambience was friendly and a really varied crowd from the retired to the sassy young singles. Next time we are in Paris we won't be leaving this experience until the last day!More

Great food, great service, all in all a very nice lunch. We ended up with 2-course and a dessert to share and the price was not scary even if it is not the cheapest type of place. Recommended!

A friend has recommended La Cantine de Quentin for years. We finally had a chance to have Valentines lunch here. The food is fabulous! Pasta Carbonara with chorizo was the best I have ever had! Rather then mixing the egg in. A perfect poached egg...sat on top of this lovely serving. Just amazing. Citrus tart was also to die for. My husband's Steak tartre was perfect! We will be back!!More
