chanced upon this bistro on one of our walkabouts in paris. cheapest happy hour cocktails! packed a punch and definitely a pit stop for tired feet under the parisian spring sunshine.

Great location, welcoming staff, nice cousin Since 13-14.03.17 there's a new menu. All-day-Brunch is very good for people who are not early birds for breakfast and it's much better then popular among foreigners - English breakfast. We've ordered brunch about 16:30 and it was like late lunch :-) Another new and must taste dish is a BBQ for 2 persons.... More

Traveled to Paris for business, stumbled into this cafe while shopping. Had a fantastic meal and the staff was very friendly and conversational even though I only speak English. Tried their cheesecake at Pascal's recommendation and it was hands down the best I've ever had.

We stayed across the alleyway from this little gem, and went here for dinner more often than not. It's a locals place, sometimes overflowing with Parisians, and small, making it an authentic experience. The food is solidly delicious and classic, the table wine is above average, and the prices are reasonable. Make it a go-to place for a great meal.

Lovely little street café close to Notre Dame, Pompidou centre and the vintage shops. Try the salmon salad with a nice carafe of wine!

Though this restaurant is located in a very central location, we had a disappointing dinner. I ordered a chicken and it was quite dry and tasteless. A beef that was asked to be cooked medium came out burnt, dry and with an awful flavor. Most of the dishes we ordered were below average. There were no English menus available but... More

Cozy and warm with a lovely terrage giving on a pedestrian street. We had Entrecote with fries. The fries were home made and the meat very tender. The salad dressing is home made too. Nothing industrial was on our plates. The waiters are friendly, smiling and very quick. Great stop for a parisian lunch!

This restaurant is very close to where we stayed- we went past it many times before deciding to stop for dinner. The menu is all in French (no English version available) but the waiter was kind enough to translate it for us in English. We ordered several entrees, all of which were good (the roast chicken was a bit dry... More

Staying in Les Halles

Neighbourhood Profile
Les Halles
Historically the central iron-clad market of Paris, Les Halles has evolved architecturally since then but the pulsating energy has stayed the same. Now it houses the main shopping mall, which nestles underground surrounded by fast-food take-aways and international restaurants coupled with beautiful churches and the old commodity exchange. Parallel to it are the high-street stores of Rue de Rivoli and just parallel to that the Seine. The area bustles with faces from all continents and all ages at all times of the day. If enjoying high-street shopping with easy access to fast eateries and lively bars is on your agenda, this is the place to go.
