A medium large place, non pretentious decor, authentic food, fresh ingredients, good atmosphere. Good choice of sake, great Japanese deserts. I would recommend for either lunch or either dinner meal.

Per-fect. the idea of taking half a plate let us try a lot of things. And everything was really good. Thank you. And the staff was so nice, it's a bonus.
Back in 2012, I ate here. It left such an impression on me that when I arrived in Paris this month, I made a point of eating here again. I'm so glad I did. The meal was just as outstanding. This restaurant does really excellent...More
I love Hotaru because it is really a Japanese restaurant from A to Z : they even greet you in Japanese when you call to book a table! a feel of Japan right in Paris. The food is great, service kind although sometimes slow, ambiance...More

Good service, friendly and family. Japanese traditional food cooked very well (miso soup, sushi, sashimi also with cooked fish). Fantastic the foie gras in soy sauce (French fusion). Otherwise, wine cart to be reviewed: quality and quantity of the wines can be improved.
The decor is not what one would expect as it feels like a French bistrot turned Japanese restaurant. And a popular one actually, with local customers, Parisians and quite a few Japanese in-pats. The menus are in Japanese but they have a few copies in...More
Even though this small restaurant is far away from the other Japanese restaurants area in Saint-Honore, it is a perfect spot to taste fresh fish or delicate tofu dishes. All the employees here are Japanese, including the cooks in the spotless open kitchen. Go crazy...More
