Now that one was really amazing. Based on the reviews I decided to have dinner there with my wife. The place is small but cozy It's the kind of restaurant where u feel like all guests are sitting together ! Food was out of this world. My starter was tartare de maquereaux with poireau crayon and it was amazing! The... More

It is small, cozy place, where only recommendations or locals could find. The food is excellent. The service - nice, but the attitude of the owners/waiter makes it actually great! Three of us, choose different starters and main courses. I cannot recall for even 1 small hate regarding the food - taste and presentation. The wine list was interesting, or... More

I chose this place not because of Anthony Bourdain but because the French site Fooding recommended it. I should have known better. I am SO FED UP with these pretentious and overpriced "neo-bistros", where the neo part is an excuse for 0€ investment in furniture, decoration and service and where you are expected to fawn over the food whatever it... This resto offers all the culinary sophistication you would expect from Paris, all the while while stay clear of all the over priced tourist trap neighbourhoods. The 14th arrondissement isn't tourist at all, borderline really... But quaint nonetheless. Jeu de Quilles is located next door to a famous butcher, so go crazy, order steak!

This little and cute restaurant surprised me a lot! What a pleasant surprise! The waiter over there was very kind and provided us with well-mannered service. All the cuisine on the menu sounded great. Waiter offered us a special menu that allowed us to taste all the main cuisine they prepared for the day. It was an excellent recommendation. We... More

I find this restaurant at Antony Bourdains Guide. It was the best choise of the trip. We went back for a second dinner but on Mondays a lot of restaurants in Paris are closed. We choose the menu and was the perfect choice with four dishes. The wine was perfect too, something that we didnt find in other restaurants in Paris.... More

A real pleasure to be back ! Everything is perfectly cooked and a real dining experience as each time I came. Benoit is still a maestro playing with first class ingredients. The experience is top ! Wines are also a good surprise. Loved it. Thanks

This is a charming bistro and if the excellently prepared steak hadn't cost 34 euros, I'd have been a lot more enthusiastic. However, 34 euros for a steak--admittedly a fine one--seems excessive to me. Especially because the only accompaniment were sauted potatoes--also excellent, admittedly. But how about a little greenery at that price: some salad or green beans, for example?... More

We saw this restaurant on one of the travel guides by Anthony Bourdain and it just so happened to be around the corner from where our friend lives. The menu changes frequently and there are 3 - 4 choices for appetizers, entrees, and desserts. We decided to try all the appetizers, three of the four entrees and a dessert. The... More

Delicious, small restaurant with an ambitious and imaginative chef. After an excellent start, the quality slightly dropped so I came back with a bit of apprehension - wrongly so, as the restaurant is back to the top level (and that even with the chef away on holidays, so a well trained staff is running the place to the perfection). We... More

Staying in Montparnasse

Neighbourhood Profile
Montparnasse
The namesake tower of Montparnasse dominates over the landscape but the fun part is the throbbing life that goes on below it. Bright lights, busy cinemas, brasseries and diners encompass hidden museums and parks to entertain the masses. Long avenues lead away from the tower to take you to unsuspecting places and historical monuments and treasures. In between lie adorable ivy-covered houses with beams and small gardens to match. Just a short metro ride away from the centre of Paris this neighbourhood has something for every hour of the day.
