I visit La Locanda every time I visit Paris. This cozy Italian is located on rue du Dragon on the left bank. I'm Italian and this food is authentic Italian - the ambience warm and inviting. One of the best parts is the owner personally visits each table and chats with the guests.

La Locanda might not be the place of your dreams. The food on the other hand outshone the conditions. The physical space was not the problem. Except for, perhaps, the chandelier which could and should have been replaced by a large overhead fan. It was the lack of air circulation in a relatively small space on the first floor on... More

Elegant with white linen and subdued lighting make this a romantic spot in Left Bank just steps from bustling Boulevard Saint Germaine which you can cross for after dinner drink at Deux Magot.

In my opinion, la locanda is located in a really nice restaurant, it was very homely and cosy. However, it was obvious that foreign guests - tourists - were seated in the upper part of the location. The food was okay, but surely not outstanding. For the price, it was definitely served with too less attention on details. The most... More

Thank you sir for your visit. I have appreciate your nice comment about the architecture, the history and the beauty of the place. The restaurant is very tiny. We have only seating for 24 downstairs and 26 upstairs. Amongst our customers, believe it or not, many French parisians prefer to be seated upstairs due du to quietness and privacy. I... More

We found this restaurant through trip advisor as Sunday eve dining options are somewhat limited. We were seated outside on a really great sidewalk and had a really nice meal. The octopus carpaccio was amazing as was the truffle linguini. The service was good and the owner went out of his way to say hello and make us feel welcome.... More

Very cosy place in Paris city center. On the expansive side but You get the value for your money their pasta with morels is divine or the basilic sauce. Everything seems to be fresh. The waiters are friendly just a little bit slow sometimes. You need to reserve your table ahead. I will come back.

I have made it a point to always have lunch or dinner here when I am in Paris. It has never disappointed. The food is delicious. The restaurant is small, but there is room for a larger party upstairs. My husband and I happened on this little gem several years ago. Every time I visit Paris, I make it a... More

Romantic and fine Italian food in Saint Germain des Pres district. One of the oldest and most beautiful streets of Paris. A XVI century town house serves delicious Italian dishes since 1997. Martino, the owner since day 1, take care of you personally. US graduate, Boston and Louisville resident, loves to explain how dishes are made, the history of recipes, the neighborhood secrets and much more.

Since the opening, refined international customers blend with locals. Not a "tourist trap" just an international parisian resident crowd chose La Locanda for the food, the atmosphere and the fun.

Reservations are not mandatory but strongly suggested on weekends. A few tables are available for couples outside on the sidewalk. The street is very quiet so you can enjoy a nice evening outside as well.

Good music inside.

Grappa and limoncello is generally offered and will enable you to stay a few minutes more with our company.

See you.
