Just the right blend of crunchy crust and chewy center, Paul's baguettes are lovely! And some sort of yogurt in a black crock that was heavenly.

We discovered Paul on our 2nd day of our 2 weeks in Paris. It was a 2 minute walk from our hotel and oh so much more economical than dining at the hotel for breakfast. We ended up having breakfast here every day and quickly fell into having a typical paris breakfast of grand coffee cream and a baquette..yumm I... More

Bread and pastries are delicious. Coffee is very average. Some of the staff doesn't speak basic English. I tried to order a cup of cappuccino with extra shot of espresso in it, the waiter couldn't understand what I want. So every time I went there it was a disaster with coffee and I never get what I wanted). Overall it's... More

Finished our walking tour of the Latin Quartier and looking for a nice light lunch. This place came recommended and lived up to that. Quickly served and drinks provided. Freshly squeezed orange juicé, a coke and Affelum biere. The food came quixkly and was lovely. The omelettes were light and not over cooked while the crepes were delicious. Overall a... More

Pop in for a quick breakfast. Fresh and tasty! You can easily get to go items or sit in their small(ish) dining room.

This is a great place to grab a to-go coffee and a croissant at the counter. No dilly dally-ing when ordering. This is where the locals come and they have no patience for that.

We went into the shop because we saw a deal for any drink with any sandwich (they are quite big) plus any dessert they have We all got some juice or water a chicken or tuna sandwich and the chocolate cake/tarte they have. The sandwich was really tasty, the meat was great and the cake was amazing. It was I... More

Paul is a French-based bakery chain, with franchises in many countries, including the United States. It does a brisk business throughout Paris in myriad shops, and I sometimes stop by its Rue de Buci location when I want a quick breakfast in the morning during stays at nearby hotels. Most places serving breakfast don't open until 9 a.m., but Paul's... More

We stayed at a hotel nearby and it was just too convenient not to stop here for our first morning in Paris. We got the traditional croissant and coffee for a very reasonable price, and it was the best croissant I've had! The next morning I tried a chausson, and it was the best thing I've put in my mouth!... More

Neighbourhood Profile
Saint-Germain-des-Pres
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighbourhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères.
