People have already said it all, so I'm just adding my voice to the positive feedback. Just be aware that it's a really small restaurant so go there early or expect to wait.

The place is a little tiny cafe type with maybe 10 tables. I only saw 3 people working there but it worked out ok. The daily special is 25 euro including entree+plate+dessert, or you can opt for the regular menu.

a good place for a quick lunch or breakfast. The restaurant is quite simple & the food is of good price. Very close to Pont Neuf if you are passing by.

We were looking for a sweet little lunch spot to warm up after a freezing winter day of walking around in Paris, and stumbled upon Ma Salle a Manger at my favourite square in Paris, just off Pont Neuf. The restaurant is tiny but cozy, and definitely French. Our waiter was a lovely, warm French lady who gave excellent wine... More

This is the type of small place, good food, and romantic feeling you imagine Paris to be. Only a few blocks from Notre Dame, the staff was EXCELLENT and kind. You feel like you are in a dear friend's living room. The romantic mood flows through you. Now be warned this place is SMALL and the restroom has a LOW... More

This little restaurant was exactly what my sister and I needed. It's so cozy and the staff is warm and welcoming. We shared a carafe of wine and the hot camembert and it was perfect. I will go back on my next trip to Paris!

We had lunch twice in this restaurant: once on the terrace and once inside. Location - Excellent, in a beautiful square on Ile de la Cité. Food - Authentic home made style of cooking, our dishes were each time really tasty and served in a good quantity. They were also prepared and served pretty rapidly. Service - Friendly, smiling, and... More

Wow what a WONDERFUL experience! We arrived on a Tuesday night rather late and we were treated like honored guests. The atmosphere is decidedly french yet casual and comforting. Rustic and country french decor. Tiny restaurant with only about 12 tables. Kitchen downstairs which is just fun and cool. We had beef bourguignon which was melt in your mouth beef,... More

Staying in Ile de la Cite / Ile Saint-Louis

Neighbourhood Profile
Ile de la Cite / Ile Saint-Louis
Two islands sit in the middle of the Seine at the very heart of Paris. The more majestic one, Ile de la Cité, sparkles with history. This is the birthplace of Paris, the home of the Gothic Sainte-Chapelle, and the site of the prison where Marie Antoinette was held before her execution. Tourists flock to see the iconic Notre Dame and the beautiful bridges that straddle the Seine. Ile Saint-Louis, the more provincial island, welcomes you with cozy traditional eateries, small boutiques, and what some people say is the best ice cream in the city. This is essential Paris from its very beginnings to its modern appeal.
