We came to the restaurant for breakfast. It was almost empty and we were able to enjoy the space and admire life in the Paris streets. We took the breakfast set with coffee and orange juice. Delicious, crunchy croissant, fresh baguette, jam, aromatic coffee. It was...the perfect recipe for a very well-started morning. The service was also very nice.More

We came out of the metro station and saw this small bistro while making our way to Sainte Chappelle we took a break at this lovely looking seating outside cafe shop le Soleil D’or. The restaurant and cafe offer Liqueurs, French cuisine and hot beverages....Its a nice cafe to sit and enjoy the beauty of Ile de le cite.More

The food is really nothing special and borderline gross. We got the French onion soup which was pretty good and then the chicken entree which was outright terrible. We sent it back and they took it off the bill... probably because they know how bad...it was. We witnessed a member of the wait staff not wash their hands after using the restroom. Would have rated this 1 star if it weren’t for the amazing waitress we had!More

Wonderful setting on the Seine River across from Saint Chapelle church. Excellent service. Wonderful food. We enjoyed the escargot. Clean facilities. Classy environment. Lovely treed boulevard. We ate outside.

We were very disappointed with our food and service. Our pizza was half cooked and our mixed charcuterie looked like we were the recipient of what could not be sold to locals. The server did not come back till we were ready to leave and...then offered to box it up to take to the hotel. YechMore

Food was lukewarm including the salad. Waiter was condescending. The salad was left on the bill, I took 1 bite and was afraid that the white dressing would give me food poisoning. When I asked to take it off the bill, our rude Parisian waiter...laughed and said its not possible. When I asked for the manager he said no he doesnt speak English, despite that the manager greeted us when we came in and had conversation in English with is. They then stood right behind me and laughed saying Americans”! This place is filthy, I was really nervous about how dirty it was but we were starving . I wound up paying for it as he was becoming aggressive denying me the manager and Im traveling with my child Please no one eat here for many reasons.More

My wife and I were taken to this spot by a friend of ours who is an investigator/prosecutor for the French government. Next to the Palais de Justice, he told us that this place was frequented by the judges with whom he worked. Not seeing...the particular salad she would like to order, but noticing that endives were included in some, she asked for a salad made exclusively of endives! The attractive, very accommodating waitress readily agreed to have one made, and my wife loved it, noticing that she wasn't charged any more for it than the standard green salad, despite the expense of the ingredients. She ordered the ceviche, which was a special for the day. She states that she very much liked the appearance, but that she expected a bit more in the way of flavor. Nevertheless, she was quite happy with it. I had a casserole of seafood au gratin, which was a bit rich but nevertheless made with fresh ingredients, and I also thought it fine. Our friend had his usual, which was a chicken with fries, and of course was quite satisfied with it. For dessert we each had a dish of the exquisite Berthillon ices (I had the strawberry and the passion fruit sorbets, while my wife had a mix of passion fruit sorbet and the hazelnut ice cream.) So despite the spate of very negative reviews this place has recently received, our experience was much to the contrary. (The rest rooms, admittedly, were a bit dirty but did have paper.)More

It began raining while we were sightseeing, so we dashed into this cafe. It was crowded and busy due to others seeking refuge, but even with such a crush of customers, our server was friendly and efficient. After all, the kitchen can only go so...fast - it was what it was. We did not mind a bit of a wait. My husband ordered a crepe filled with ham and cheese for 10,50 euros. My crepe had no ham and was, 9,50 euros. Both were certainly edible and a nice portion size, but not really spectacular, Hubby had expresso for 2,40 euros. He like it. Again, not spectacular. For dessert my husband ordered two scoops of ice cream which cost 9 euros and I had once scoop. The ice cream was superb and next time we have an occasion to stop at this cafe, we'll remember to just order some ice cream. It steals the show. Had the crepes been more exciting I'd have bumped up my rating score.More

Nice eggs mayonnaise! Ordered a crepe for my lunch, but was told that the crepe machine was not working (?), so instead I asked for a croque monsieur and chips. The chips never arrived, but in hindsight I didn't need them as I was full...with what I had - I wasn't charged for them, so perhaps she didn't hear me. I was disappointed not to be able to have a crepe, especially as they were selling crepes from a little booth on the corner - it didn't make sense, and then to make matters worse the person about 3 tables along from us had a crepe about 10 minutes later - it must have been fixed by then! My croque monsieur was OK, but not cooked for long enough so instead of melted cheese, it was browned on top, and still just grated underneath - shame. The eggs mayo were certainly the highlight, along with sitting in the sun enjoying a nice glass of wine. Great location, if you need a quick lunch stop it's OK, but food could be better.More
