This is a place to avoid in winter because there is no heating. I wondered why the other guests sitting next to us had their jackets and coats on... We found out the hard way... after an hour despite a warm meal and some hot...jasmine tea we were freezing cold. the service was quite poor, and as a guest you don’t feel welcome. I even wondered whether I was bothering them when I entered the restaurant. The lady at the reception looked at me like I had accidentally ended up there. The waiter gave me that same very puzzled stare and had me repeat twice that I wanted a table for 4. The food was ok although served with abruptness. One of us had ordered a vegetable soup with noodles. It was only 10€ so we did not expect it to be for 4 persons. At the look of surprise on our faces the server got offended although it was really not our intention to complain about it. While we did not say anything he told us in a very rude way that we should have known that such soup was a like a full dish. We tried to have him relax about that explaining that it was ok and as it was not specified on the menu we had not realized but he just went on with the sans harsh tone. The only time we saw him smile was upon our leaving. Not sure what we had done or said but we were definitely not welcomed in that place. I would definitely recommend tourists to avoid it and leave it to the people working in the area and who are used to come everyday for lunch. As a non local who wants to enjoy some nice Asian food near the Opera house, by all means pick another restaurant. That will save you a cold and keep you in good health and mood 😀More
