Lovely restaurant with great ambience. Excellent service by single waitress.....great smile! Food of an excellent standard. Very tasty. Prices not too bad for Paris.

If looking for a spot for dinner in the Marais District, Equinox is a good bet. We stopped by early (8PM) and found a table. A small setting, one waitress covered all tables along with one cook. The French cuisine was very flavorful, adequate portions, attractive presentation, and good service. Two Prix Fixe, 3 course dinners, plus coffee was 70... More

Walking through Le Marais this small restaurant looked inviting. However our table was very cramped and the food when it arrived was disappointing. My partners Lamb was good but rather too small a portion. I had the chicken which was, sadly, very tough. Would not return.

situated in the marais took the bad decision to go to the equinox. from outside it looks nice and the atmosphere isn't that bad (exept of the loud music). food: my husband had an entrecôte- which was average (is it that hard to cook a good entrecôte?), i had a chicken in a sauce that wasn't good at all. ate... After a long walk in the Marais and a great visit at the Picasso Museum I chose this restaurant by luck, I was getting quite hungry. The food was very good, served hot, service impeccable and the restaurant was always busy. Very cosy and I would definetly go back if in the Marais again.

Set in a gorgeous lane in Paris, perfect for people watching! Beers were reasonably cheap. The staff were so friendly and helpful! 100% recommend this bar to everyone!

From the menu posted outdoors and looking inside, expectations were high. There were two people running this place and unfortunately, they were both quite busy. The guy handling the bar/wine service was much nicer. The blonde guy had a pretty lousy-unfriendly attitude and it was far from just at our table. Maybe having a bad night. The menu looked great,... In the midst of so many places to eat in the pouring Paris rain, I ducked into this welcoming spot cold and wet. Originally, I popped in because it was close to the flat where I was staying. I had a glass of champagne (for medicinal purposes you understand) and their onion soup which quickly revived me. Chatted with the... More

So many restaurants around this area that it was hard to choose when looking for somewhere for lunch . Decided on Equinox because it had an outside seat that was empty . The menu had a good selection of dishes to choose from , plumped for the canard and garlic potatoes and my wife had the scallops , both were... More

Staying in Le Marais

Neighbourhood Profile
Le Marais
The Marais is a winding maze of multi-faceted streets that beg to be explored. It bursts with small boutiques, historic buildings, cozy traditional restaurants, and hidden parks. Around each corner, you'll come across little gems of architecture spanning the centuries, from understated medieval towers to classical libraries and 17th century splendour. This neighbourhood unites a rich mix of people of all ages, but it's best known for the gay scene mostly in the south and the Jewish community around Rue des Rosiers.
