The food is pretty basic, in comparison to the French cousine. It is a bit pricey, but in terms of value for money, it is a very good choice. Add to that a lovely ambience within the restaurant and genuine service and your lunch/dinner will be a very satisfactory experience.

Do you watch Europe Through the Back Door with Rick Steves? At sometime in the past he has recommended hanging out on Rue Cler and thousands of Americans have done as he suggested. So many if fact that the restaurants located on Tue Cler have become Americanized so that they server mediocre food and rush you through the meals so... More

We stayed just up the street from Le Sancerrois and were pleasantly surprised when we stumbled apon this resturant. From the minute we walked in Isabelle made us feel welcome and helped us navigate the French menu and our experience just kept getting better! The food was lovely, the company was fun and informative. We had several meals and afternoon... More

We ate breakfast here for four consecutive days during our recent stay in Paris. Our hotel was a few doors down on Rue du Champ de Mars. Kader, Isabella and Reda were very nice and accomodating. The breakfast was well priced for 9 euros we had eggs, ham, croissant, cafe au lait and juice. The place is cozy and we... More

Isabelle and her husband are wonderful restauranteurs! This is an inviting place with comfortable chairs and larger tables than most Paris places - And the food is very, very good. We both had the Magret de Canard and it was cooked perfectly to our requests. Great service, great location and great prices. Give it a try-you will not be disappointed.

We just returned from a trip to Paris and are so happy we came across this place. I travel a lot and rarely do I go onto the web to compliment a restaurant. This place was next to our hotel so we decided to try it one night. It's a local restaurant run by a wonderful family. They speak plenty... More

I hate to write reviews of places I feel I want to always go back to because I don't want them to become full of tourist. Yet, I can not let this little gem go by without being noticed. It is not the Rue de Cler restaurants spilling out onto the road full of tourists paying too much for too... More

A secret Paris gem, within 15 minutes of La Tour Eiffel. The carefully chosen menu ranges from a delicious soupe a l'oignon through superb omelettes to a high quality steak-frites. Le Sancerrois is on the corner opposite L'hotel Cadran.

This is a wonderful restaurant that is just off the Rue Cler. The food is very fresh, simple and delightful. If you are looking for something quieter then the Rue Cler scene this would be a very good choice for lunch or dinner. Most of the wait staff speak some English. These folks are local and deserve your patronage.

How many times have you just wanted “something small” for lunch in Paris? We tried our luck here and were very pleasantly surprised. Pierette Thomas’s eccentrically decorated bistrot, on the opposite corner to the Hôtel Cadran offers dishes between €8 and €15. We went there twice. My Salade Parisienne was simply delightful made up of the freshest lettuce and emmenthal... More
