Auberge des Deux Ponte is small, off the beaten path, and utterly wonderful. The owner/chef/waiter welcomed and seated us and then proceeded to offer warm and generous hospitality. Our lunches (Chicken Cordon Blue and veal chop) were well prepared, perfect portion size and nicely seasoned....As most good food, it takes time, allowing one to sip on a highly drinkable glass of Cote du Rhône. It was thoroughly enjoyable, and delicious. We will return.More

Authentic French food served by your owner, maître d', cook, cashier and chief bottle washer: Claude. It is a small, hospitable place and Claude does a wonderful job taking care of you despite how busy he gets. In fact he almost orders for you! My...wife is a vegetarian and was trying to piece together a meal from the menu and Claude took over and told her he would take care of her, as well he did! He almost wouldn't put ice in my scotch out of principle! But he relented and gave me one small ice cube, not without a stern look of disapproval. :) We had a memorable dinner there and would heartily recommend you eat there if you find yourself on Isle Saint-Louis. Just be careful if it becomes too well known and you can't find a table!More

We stopped here in the afternoon before it opened, and was told by the person working inside, when the restaurant would open. We returned when it opened, and were the first customers to be served that day. We had a very reasonablely priced meal, cooked...by and served by the owner, who was an enjoyable one man show! It was fun, tasty and very satisfying! When I think there were about 12 customers in the restaurant, the owner turned away another couple who came in a bit too late. It was not the fasted, but was very leisurely, which was great for us. It was not the best meal, we had in two weeks in France, but we are all glad that we chose to eat here!More

Typical auberge food. May be a little touristic for some. We had a pleasant French meal. Wouldn't rave about but also wouldn't say avoid.

We come here whenever we can. The food is fairly simple and so beautifully cooked. The place is charming and Claude is an excellent host.

We initially stumbled into this restaurant in 2015, and found it again in 2019 - it was amazing both times. The menu is full of fresh fare, but the steak with flameed foie gras on top is still my favorite. The creme brulee is also...the best I have experienced anywhere, made even more special by the unique way that the sugar is carmelized - so fun! Cozy ambiance and the one-man show of the food preparation is a great accompaniment. Absolutely love it!More

Claude does a remarkable job juggling all the responsibiiites of managing the dining room and kitchen all by himself to deliver fine food with a warm smile.

I arrived in the restaurant to make a reservation as I had read positive reviews on TripAdvisor. He barked at me saying that they don’t have toilet, before I even opened my mouth, without even looking at me, in the most demeaning and rude way...in front of clients, who were also shocked by the way he spoke. I was gobsmacked and immediately left. Advice to the host: perhaps you should let people speak first before jumping to conclusions and embarrassing yourself in front of your clients. Kind regards.More

We to to this wonderful restaurant every time we are in Paris. It is a one-man operation. Noted for foie gras, all the food is delicious. My wife and mother started with salads and I had the scallops rossinni, which was superb. Mains were linguini...with scallops (and foie gras), veal liver, and a veal chop. The two veal mains had incredible potatoes. We had a wonderful bottle of Croze-Hermitage. This is a wonderful place--brilliant food, quiet, and a host/chef who loves what he does and what he does is fanatastic! Highest recommendation!!More

Our last night in Paris, tired from weeks of travelling and eating way to much. Des Deux Ponts was close to the hotel so we gave it a try. Small cozy place with a one man show - chef - matre de - waiter -...bottle washer.......amazed at how he could meet and greet, cook, serve, chat, clean up with guests. Home style french cooking. Good portions, great flavors and avant garde presentations of each plate. The deserts were great - especially with the hot branding iron used to caramelize the creme brulee then the towering flames coming off the ice creme. Fun evening and a great end to a great trip !!!!More

Two islands sit in the middle of the Seine at the very

site of the prison where Marie Antoinette was held

Notre Dame and the beautiful bridges that straddle the
