It has been numerous times I had dinners and lunches in this cosy, modern countryside cottage styled restaurant, in tones of grey and red. Fred, in the kitchen, and Claire, in the restaurant, are a perfect couple working hard to keep the quality at a high level. Traditional cuisine, with well mastered technique, and the creative touch of Fred, who... More

This little place between place Monge and Saint Marcel offers tasty plates at reasonable prices (with Paris standards). We had a very special plate with hare (lièvre) and a superb crepe with orange, mango and chocolate ice-cream. Service was swift and the waiter helped with the menu (written in French only).

Recommended by our landlady, this was the best traditional French cuisine we experienced. Situated in the delightful Quartier Latin. No English menu though the waitress was able to help translate. Seafood specialities in the Mediterranean style. Excellent desserts. Worth the extra cost but not as expensive as a Michelin star restaurant.

The restaurant was a bit difficult to find, no panel above the door to indicate the place; but once inside, a warm welcome, a pleasant atmosphere; small, but still enough space between the tables. Excellent food , nicely presented, original combinations of flavors. Great idea to offer the wine by 50cl as this is the right amount for two persons... More

We had a good meal with family during the Christmas holiday. There were six of us eating and in total review those who are meat based meals were very satisfied. The one fish meal was described as just ok. The wine recommended by the owner was also excellent. Also the price for such a restaurant was excellent.

Cute little place. Very friendly staff. We ate here twice. We had our last meal in paris as we knew it would be good. The waitress remembered us from previous visit which was very nice. As well when we left the chef spoke with us and wanted to know if we enjoyed our meal. He also wished us a good... More

We were fortunate to dine at this restaurant at the recommendation of a a Paris friend who went with us. The food was excellent and a blend of creativity and savory delights. We had the fois gras prepared the way it's supposed to be - not the pate - but the multicolored display of the true foie gras. Also we... More

There are still a few restaurants like this in the 5eme but they are hard to find. The atmosphere is relaxed, and the food is worth waiting for. As others have noted, when this place is full (which it usually is of an evening) the two servers have to put in a lot of extra effort, but they do it... More

Traditional french food, fresh and menu evolves according to seasons. Vegetables are crunchy. You know there is a chef in the kitchen that enjoys his work, you can feel it in the plate! Pleasant staff, they take your coat at the entrance which is becoming so rare that it is now noticeable. The place is cozy, tables are spread enough... More

I went to the restaurant with my girlfriend, we ended up having a quite expensive dinner definitely too expensive for the quality of the food which was just ok. Most of all the service was extremely bad, the waiter were acting like we were not there, we had to wait 1 hour for the first dish. So if you want... More

Staying in Quartier Latin

Neighbourhood Profile
Quartier Latin
The Latin Quarter bursts with intellectual life, architectural splendour and ongoing merriment. The small streets are filled with classical buildings, student bars and lively eateries while the squares are dominated by historic monuments. The area is defined by the 800-year-old Sorbonne University, where Latin once prevailed, and is famous for the Pantheon which celebrates the great men and women of France. During the day students rush from classes to the library and intellectuals people watch from the terraced cafés. As night time falls the surrounding establishments fill up and the merriment really begins. The liveliest parts are around Rue Mouffetard, lined with crêperies and international street food eateries, and Place de la Contrescarpe characterised by terraced brasseries, this neighbourhood provides real nourishment for the mind, belly, and soul.
