The location of this cafe is great, just by Notre Dame. However, that's it's only positive feature. The service was appalling- the grumpiest waiter we have had in Paris, to the point it was comical. The cafe isn't exactly clean either- mousetraps were under the tables and my glass of water had a lovely lipstick stain from a previous user.... More

Today was a chilly and rainy day in Paris, and I was near Notre Dame Cathedral. This gem of a restaurant beckoned me to come in to have some lunch and warm up. The maître d' and the head waiter and was seated at a corner table. The special was ribs of port with fried potatoes (dare I say French... More

On 14NOV2016 (Table #9) we had lunch at this restaurant - Crepe Nicoise, Crepe with ham and cheese (Mixte) and salad. I became very ill from the food that I was in bed for the entire evening and next day. When we notified the restaurant of the issue via letter - we never heard from them.

My wife and I stopped in to take a break, have a cappuccino and escape the rain after a visit to Notre Dame. My wife loved her omelette and the crepes were excellent. Good place for a quick break.

Just a short walk from Notre Dame. Tried the French onion soup and other starters here and we were not disappointed. Very friendly staff too.

I stopped for a coffee, but ended up staying for brunch. This little place is very close to the Notre Dame. My coffee was a medium but it's the largest coffee I've ever had :-) The place was fairly busy- mostly tourists of course :-) Loved my ham and cheese omelet. Some other patrons ordered the ribs- which looks delicious!... More

We had our lunch there, and it was the worst food we ever tasted in Paris (including street vendors). Waiter pretended that his English is non-existent, and brought bottled water instead of free pitcher which we asked. 2 meals were cold, one was different from what we order (roasted chicken instead of grilled), one meal was totally forgotten and brought... Staying in Ile de la Cite / Ile Saint-Louis

Neighbourhood Profile
Ile de la Cite / Ile Saint-Louis
Two islands sit in the middle of the Seine at the very heart of Paris. The more majestic one, Ile de la Cité, sparkles with history. This is the birthplace of Paris, the home of the Gothic Sainte-Chapelle, and the site of the prison where Marie Antoinette was held before her execution. Tourists flock to see the iconic Notre Dame and the beautiful bridges that straddle the Seine. Ile Saint-Louis, the more provincial island, welcomes you with cozy traditional eateries, small boutiques, and what some people say is the best ice cream in the city. This is essential Paris from its very beginnings to its modern appeal.
