Arrived a little early to check in at our hotel. So we took a quick walk and chose this little place to eat. Great food very friendly (eating with the locals paid off this time). Excellent.

Perfect for a night-out even on a weekday. If you like friendly, noisy, music-filled places with cheap drinks, student crowds, good food (including some proper Greek tastes) and excellent service, you've got it... Best VFM place I've been in Paris! Definitely recommended

I've been there several times and the service is not the best, usually it's too crowded so they make you change seats for no reason or share your table. The owner doesn't ask, he commands. This one time when I was out in the street (because I was waiting for a friend) he shaut at me saying that or I... More

Great place to have a pint and watch a football match. The place is always crowded and offers a nice buzz!

If you want cheap beer then this is the place for you. Difficult to find seats as it is known for being cheap(3 euro blondes) The barstaff could be a bit friendlier, difficult to get a smile but this is sometimes the Parisian way. Food looked good but have never tasted it.

My husband and I ages 76 and 74 were told by our taxi driver to check out this place as we were staying in a hotel in the 6th district within walking distance once you got the hang of how the streets are placed. We were greeted warmly. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was a lot of fun.... More

So, to be fair with this place I have to divide this review in two. If you are a young student that is interested in cheap lousy beer and noisy people, this is your place. They will serve you cheap beer in a very crowded place with people bumping you every minute, with dirty tables and bad and expensive fast... More

Staying in Quartier Latin

Neighbourhood Profile
Quartier Latin
The Latin Quarter bursts with intellectual life, architectural splendour and ongoing merriment. The small streets are filled with classical buildings, student bars and lively eateries while the squares are dominated by historic monuments. The area is defined by the 800-year-old Sorbonne University, where Latin once prevailed, and is famous for the Pantheon which celebrates the great men and women of France. During the day students rush from classes to the library and intellectuals people watch from the terraced cafés. As night time falls the surrounding establishments fill up and the merriment really begins. The liveliest parts are around Rue Mouffetard, lined with crêperies and international street food eateries, and Place de la Contrescarpe characterised by terraced brasseries, this neighbourhood provides real nourishment for the mind, belly, and soul.
