Me and my group (group of 4) asked for one coffee and one beer in this cafe and the employee said that we cannot sit there and that he couldn't serve only one coffee and a beer for a group of 4. The cafe was empty, so we can't understand what was the problem! I felt that there was discrimination... More

voir l'en-tête complet It was Easter afternoon in Paris, a bit chilly and we were looking for a restaurant for a late lunch. What caught our eye on the poster at the corner of the restaurant was the sentence Produits du terroir basque - terroir is not easy to translate but I'll take a shot, Local products from the good... Love the French way of making a french fry. Sauces are worth the sampling and the breads who would not love them. Something for everyone.

Found this lovely place - was cold and raining, they had sofa's, heaters and throws - and GREAT food. Coming fro the UK it was expensive - but very reasonable by Parisian standards. Best food we had on this trip. Listening to the regular bells of Notre Dame an added bonus. Go enjoy.....

I came here after a visit last year and had one of the best meals on this visit. The recommended Basque cuisine of steak and grilled fish were very good choices. The wine was superb. Considering what we spent, I wish they had told us service was included. But will know for next time.

We found this place in our neighborhood, very close to Notre Dame. We had a late dinner here, a welcoming outdoor patio with a nice atmosphere. We had appetizers and good wine and the kids enjoyed their steak frites. Service was good

Popped in to this small restaurant on our way to a concert at Notre Dame. While it is unassuming in appearance, our meal was very good. Specializing in Basque cuisine, we ordered fish that was perfectly cooked and presented. Not being familiar with Basque wines, I left it up to the server to choose for me and was not disappointed.... I first encountered this restaurant on a summer afternoon. There is a lovely outdoor eating area that caught my attention. My bf and I stopped and had a lovely meal served by pleasant people. I returned often and have always had a lovely meal and a great time here. When people tell me about forthcoming trips to Paris, I always... More

We knew well this restaurant and we visited it quite often everytime we were in Paris (every two months). However, this time, it was astonishingly awful in terms of service. When we came in, there was this unpleasant odour of dirty restaurant. The dishes weren't the same quality and the service was plain disappointing. After ordering dinner (plus apéritif and... More

Tucked away only a few meters from the quais along the Seine and Notre Dame but very few tourists travel back to eat here, you'll be surprised by the quality and originality of this restaurant. Owners always present. Basque speciality. Always something special and from the area on the daily menu. A little pricy but if you like to travel... More

Neighbourhood Profile
Odeon / Saint-Michel
As the bustling center of entertainment for the residents of the Rive Gauche, the activity at Odéon never stops. Boulevards are lined with traditional cafes, restaurants, and boutique cinemas. The streets surrounding the fountain at Saint-Michel provide eateries from around the world. Lively bars are just next door and the prototypical terraced French brasserie is on every corner. The setting for this area is second to none; the Haussmann-style boulevards are contrasted by monumental architecture and overshadowed by the iconic Notre Dame, all within a moment’s walk from the Seine.
