This little gem was on the way to the metro from our apartment and if they were open we HAD to stop for their delicious pastries. The Apricot one was to die for and my friend raved about the chocolate pistachio. And a little kitty came to visit the store and was the queen of the hour!

I live close to Gwen Choc, so I've been into the bakery many times. The ladies that work there are never friendly or pleasant. They always act inconvenienced and annoyed and I don't think I've ever seen them smile. To me, this makes a huge difference and usually leaves me with a bad taste in my mouth (figuratively- the macarons... More

While walking past this shop, stopped in to buy some of their beautiful macaroons. Quite a charity of flavor so and other tasty looking pastries. Not on a Main Street, so a very happy accident.

Beautiful pastries and croissants, as well as macarons that were not too sweet or artificial-looking. A great breakfast stop in the Marais!

We have no doubt good pastries aren't hard to find in Paris, but this lovely boulangerie was always on our way out in the morning. The pastries are simply outstanding!

We stayed at Hotel Duo and walked by this little shop located right by the hotel. We had their macarons, baguette and some pastries and they were all sinfully delicious. I'm surprised this place isnt more popular... it's a true hiddem gem. The lady didn't speak english but was very helpful and kind.... it's not hard to smile, point, attempt... More

The food was awesome...anything you buy is of best quality. The lady at the cash counter was snobbbish and refuse to speak in english. But do not let that stop you from buying at this place.

This boulangerie makes the most amazing Pastiche aux chocolat pastries. They were so delicious I went out of my way and across Paris to get them several times. So good!

Located yards beyond the Hotel de Ville Metro shop on Rue de Temple, this is my favorite place to get a croissant in Paris. It is a no fuss boulangerie, no seating is provided, the service is prompt, and the food is fantastic. While studying abroad, it was on my walk to school and every day I had to will... More

Staying in Le Marais

Neighbourhood Profile
Le Marais
The Marais is a winding maze of multi-faceted streets that beg to be explored. It bursts with small boutiques, historic buildings, cozy traditional restaurants, and hidden parks. Around each corner, you'll come across little gems of architecture spanning the centuries, from understated medieval towers to classical libraries and 17th century splendour. This neighbourhood unites a rich mix of people of all ages, but it's best known for the gay scene mostly in the south and the Jewish community around Rue des Rosiers.
