I'm generally skeptical of reviews that mention how lovely the service was, but our waiter at L'entree des Artistes was extraordinarily charming, to an extent that really enhanced the meal. The décor -- dark and velvety red -- made the buzz of other diners' conversation pleasant rather than annoying. The food was quite good -- not mind-blowing, but certainly solid.... More

Very close to our hotel and had good reviews on TA. Arrived at 730pm and only one other couple in. Full by 830pm. Dark red walls give this a comfortable feel and the welcome was pleasant. English menu is available and we chose a €24/29 menu for 2/3 courses. Wine quite expensive at €6 glass. We had a vegetarian lasagne... More

In this district full of restaurants more or less valid , this one is a real discovery . Friendly welcoming service, setting reminiscent of the red velvet théâtres. Food portions are generous and the dishes are excellent .Can recommend the marinated salmon tartare and St Jacques , and then meat and fish served and with interesting interesting flavours and spices.... Visited here the night before Valentines and it was packed out! Great atmosphere. Fortunately we had booked a table, and my friend and I were sat at a wee table for two. Diners are packed in, so it's nice and cosy - typically French :) Because it was so busy and the staff looked a little stretched we worried it... More

Ate here with a few friends from work. They have 3 kinds of menu deal - full meal for 29?, first+main for 23? and main+dessert for 18?. The food was between very good and excellent. Definitely a good place to eat.

A more reasonably priced restaurant in a ritzy area. Both of our meals were very good. The waiter was attentive and patient in explaining the food and beers.

Our friends were staying nearby so we decided to go here for dinner and we had an excellent meal. We shared an appetizer (Aubergine Provencal) which was excellent. The plats were very good - we each had a fish dish and they were presented well, prepared well and very tasty. Michel our server helped us out as the menu is... More

Nothing to dislike! Every item ordered was beautifully presented and cooked well. Waitstaff very nice. They manage to combine service with friendly chatting with their regular customers - it's like a friendly family atmosphere.

Neighbourhood Profile
The namesake tower of Montparnasse dominates over the landscape but the fun part is the throbbing life that goes on below it. Bright lights, busy cinemas, brasseries and diners encompass hidden museums and parks to entertain the masses. Long avenues lead away from the tower to take you to unsuspecting places and historical monuments and treasures. In between lie adorable ivy-covered houses with beams and small gardens to match. Just a short metro ride away from the centre of Paris this neighbourhood has something for every hour of the day.
