This was my favorite dinner of our honeymoon. Super friendly, great food and wine recommendations. Very relaxed atmosphere.

We stopped by this wine bar by accident. She has a nice selection of wines on display in a bookshelf. All local wines. It's very quaint. She serves food too. The French onion soup is very good, I was impressed.

Spent a pleasant couple of hours in here. Lovely bread, meats and pate, with good wine selection. Friendly owner. Had a couple of cognacs in the armchairs after the meal. Did not feel rushed and it felt much more modern and welcoming than some more traditional Paris restaurants. Would definitely recommend.

This place is a jewel! We had soups and salads and i was ready to have more soup and salad immediately... It was near our Hotel on jacob street so we made it a habit of going for our evening soup almost daily! The owner did the cooking and the serving.. Pleasant, cozy, warm and all in all a wonderful... I was staying on RueJacob in the d'angleterre hotel, in the 6th, a more charming neighborhood you'd be hard-pressed to find. Leaving my hotel , turning left, I passed Le Petit Jacob and as if drawn to its portals by a tractor beam, I found myself inside this charming bijoux. Iintending just to have a glass of wine; three glasses... More

Unlike anything else around..a charming wine bar with little eats. Unpretentious and really a breath of fresh air... The food is pretty much all bio, nearly all made by the owner, delicious little plates to go with numerous very nice wines by the glass. It is small, but, a nice place to go and unwind for 30 mins after the... More

Le Petit Jacob is a gem, the likes of which you are unlikely to find in the USA. This beautifully designed restaurant probably seats fewer than twenty people and serves fresh, locally sourced food elegantly prepared by the very talented owner chef. This is a wonderful place to go for a light meal of healthy food and excellent wine. I... More

Came across this place meandering the streets taking in the atmosphere of Paris and decided to take lunch here. A very small wine bar severing a great choice of wine by the glass, open sandwiches, soups, salads and cheese so something for everyone at reasonable prices. Try the asparagus velouté soup and the Gorgonzola and fig jam sandwich washed down... More

My daughter and I stopped there on a Saturday for lunch, late October around 1 pm; the café is very small, a sofa chair arrangement in front for 2-3 people. 5 very small tables for 2 along side a bar with 5 chairs and a sofa arrangement in the back for 3-4. One young woman who was clearly overwhelmed serviced... More

Description
Le Petit Jacob is an organic wine bar and restaurant. We offer very good "charcuteries": cured ham from Parma, coppa, bresaola and so on which are cut on demand. And also matured cheeses, organic soups and salads. Most of the wines are naturals.
The bar by himself is quiet and comfortable, like if you were at home...

Staying in Saint-Germain-des-Pres

Neighbourhood Profile
Saint-Germain-des-Pres
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighbourhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighbourhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.
