I don't quite get some people who complain about it doesn't like real sushi, that it's cheap Chinese imitation, etc. I mean, 12€50 or 16€50 all you can eat, in Paris, and you expect real Japanese sushi? You're kidding me. Sound likes some are surprise...about the rice size or you have to finish the rice rule. Com'n it's 16€50 you don't go there expecting good sushi as much as you want. You go there to full your stomach and pay not too much. If you want good quality sushi you can always go to one of 1,000 jap restaurants in Paris and 'pay what you eat'.More

My husband was craving for rice meals when we were in Paris so I figured we'd look for a Chinese or Japanese restaurant. This is near our hotel and the only place that's open that time. I think we walked in at around 11:30 PM....I wouldn't really say that its Authentic Japanese cuisine, but its good enough for Asian's looking for rice, some teriyaki and grilled pork. The rest of the meal we had was mediocre but the brochettes with cheese was amazing! Just thinking about it makes my mouth water :) The staff are very nice and accommodating.More

This is a VERY greasy Chinese interpretation of Japanese food and nothing like as good or as healthy as the real thing. Also, after being dismayed at the large amount of rice integrated into each piece of sushi, we removed some of the rice from...each piece, to make the amount reasonable and the sushi palatable. However, when the Chinese waitress collected our plates, she told us off like naughty school children and said that we must eat ALL the rice or we cannot have any more servings of this so-called "eat as much as you like" menu. We explained that the amount of rice per piece of sushi was absurdly high; nothing like in REAL Japanese sushi. Also that no one had mentioned this "rule" when we placed our order. She then said OK, we could order more but next time we come we must eat ALL the rice! 2 minutes she returned and told us that the non-French speaking Chinese boss of this "Japanese" restaurant in Paris, wanted us to know that we really MUST eat ALL our rice in future. 2 minutes later a different Chinese waitress came and told us that, because we had not eaten ALL our rice, we could not now order any more sushi, despite the fact that this is an "eat as much as you like" deal and no one had told us this either when we ordered or until after they had collected our plates. This was getting ridiculous! To cap it off, much of the food was so full of grease (very unlike REAL Japanese food) as to be inedible and they tried hard to steer us towards paying cash instead of by card... We will certainly never return to be treated like school children on whom such naive, primitive, basic and "clever tricks" of questionable practice can be played. Are we in France (with EU consumer protection laws) or in the "Peoples Republic" of China? Should the French authorities not be looking very closely at the sort of practices going on here. DON'T GO!!!More

Today I went to the sushi restaurant of Otaku. The decorations are very elegant and quite enjoyable. I was amazed by how realistic the feel of this restaurant had. Everywhere you look there is Asian artwork. I truly felt connected with the appearance of this...place. At this restaurant you can get sushi, rice, meat, and many other Asian cultured foods. The food is very delicious and looks appealing as well. I ordered the Phoenix roll and the caterpillar roll. These were both outstanding and very mouthwatering. I was pleasantly surprised with how clean this restaurant was as well. There was not a crumb anywhere that I could see or a menu out of place. I thoroughly enjoyed my visit to Otaku. Although the food is very delicious I did feeling slightly queasy after eating at Otaku. I normally do not get sick after eating Asian food so I do believe that it was from this restaurant. Another negative experience I had was the service of the employees is slightly lacking. There was a lot of waiting around when I was the only customer in the restaurant. Overall I really enjoyed Otaku and would recommend it to anyone. If you are looking for a family friendly restaurant with tasty Asian food Otaku is the place for you.More

It is fine, as long as you are expecting some average Sushi to eat at a reasonable price. Unfortunately there is really plenty of rice for each piece and you will end up eating rice rice and rice instead of fish
