Recommended by a friend of mine, very good and traditional spot. Variety of African food (cote d'ivoire, Cameroun etc) Have to wait a bit to get order but plenty of rum for it! Thanks

I ve been there a few times, but most of the time I ask for delivery. The food is great and I order everytime I feel homesick. It always makes me feel like at home. I def recommend to anyone who loves african food. The place in itself is well located and nice to enjoy a meal even with a... More

I came twice at L'Albarino with a group of friends. As we wanted the best we were advised by good specialists of african cuisine to go to L'Albarino. And yes it was top ! We found this hidden place down the street in the bourgeois district of Passy. Cosy atmosphere, warm colors, afro chic decor. As we had to pre-order... More

I went here on the recommendation of a couple of colleagues and it wasn't bad. It's not the best food I've had in the area but it's a nice change. Mostly African cusine and the portions are huge. The spicy sauce is very spicy and very good in fact. The service was quick however we were the only people in... More

We went to this restaurant last weekend on a friend's recommendation and were not disappointed. The restaurant is clean and nicely decorated. Staff are friendly and you can expect a warm welcome (Senegalese Style). The food is nice and tasty and portion are quite generous. I would recommend this restaurant to African food lovers or anyone who wants to try... More

I'm puzzled by the medium low ratings this place has received from tripadvisor beloved reviewers I trust so much. I have been to this African restaurant on vacation, brought there by Parisian friends, hence from people who knew more than me good stuff. Starting from the atmosphere simply amazing, everything was pleasant to watch, well fitted and organized, personnel friendly... More

My wife and I went here one evening, as the ambiance inside looked interesting from afar. We thought it would be a nice change of atmosphere from the typical bistro. What a delusion, however. The food was so extremely late in coming and once it did arrive, was of such poor, makeshift quality, we did not even finish it. The... More

Down the street , around the corner , two doors down and bamm you have found a gem. We walked in at 7 pm and had a drink and then sat down to eat. We don't eat Paris time most of the time so try to find places that serve earlier. So order the tapas and get ready for one... More

Staying in Trocadero

Neighbourhood Profile
Trocadero
This is the neighbourhood of grand and impressive Haussmann-designed apartments and buildings. National museums overlook the Eiffel Tower and embassies fill the avenues and streets. Locals head to the butcher, florist, or bakery on their daily rounds amidst luxury and splendour, all with a view over Paris and its most famous tower. Snuggled in between the grand buildings are small art galleries and homes of historical significance. With a rich legacy from 19th century politics, art, and architecture, you can’t help but be reminded of the belle époque, the Universal Exhibitions and the nobility that have frequented and shaped these streets.
