We stumbled across this restaurant while visiting Invilides. It's not a Paris dining experience as the seating was in the back, but it quiet and tasty. Just what we were looking for.

The restaurant itself is very simple. Since you walk into it through a small kitchen, the entrance is not encouraging. The interior is also extremely simple, and slightly tacky, with some plastic flowers inside and a very, very plain atmosphere. However, all is made up...by the pleasant service and the very good Vietnamese food. We have eaten there many times and have always been quite pleased with our meals (we had an apartment just a block away). It was an excellent relief from the other restaurants, and its low prices made it a very good value. For a pleasant, different and inexpensive meal go to it.More

We wanted to eat at a Viet restaurant (many chinese and locals knows that Viet food is really good in Paris) but really wouldn't know any since we are tourists, we went on tripadvisor and found this little place. As other reviewers talked about, the...entry is tricky - you actually enter the restaurant through the kitchen! It is run by a Viet mother, with sons helping here and there, her son speaks fluent English and French serves us and is really great that he explains the French menu to us in English patiently. The price is really, really cheap (compare to other restaurants in Paris), and the food is fresh and traditionally good, no fusion concept, which is really refreshing for a change, if you know what I mean. Give it a try, you will know what I mean.More

After two weeks of (over) indulgence we longed for the sweet and salty taste of Vietnamese food. Ly Lan is a family run restaurant very near to St Francois Xavier in the 7th. The entry is tricky - you actually enter the restaurant through the...kitchen! We loved the food here; it's good, clean, inexpensive Vietnamese cuisine served in a simple but charming dining room.More
