A very friendly and nice cafe to have lunch, supper or a drink outside. Special's dishes on a day to day basis. One specialty come to mind Blanquette de veau, nobody does it better.

Second time here. Warm welcome again by waiter. Had two pizzas and the Montpulciano wine was great. Have a try you will not be disappointed.
Ate here several times while in Paris. Everything we ordered we enjoyed. A short walk to our hotel Grand Hotel Francais. Good service, friendly people, cold beer.....thank you!
After 5 days of running around London and now Paris, the children needed a night in, so I ran down to this place to pick up a couple of pizzas. Friendly place. The bar tender got me a glass of wine while I waited for...the pizzas. He seemed to know everybody that came in that evening - must be a place where the locals go to eat.More
As our hotel, the Grand Hotel Francais, does not have its own restaurant we asked the Receptionist to suggest a local Italian eatery, purely for a change of diet. She suggested the Dumas Cafe, which was only a few hundred yards from the hotel. On arrival...we were pleased to see that the Cafe was well patronised, this we always take as a good sign on the basis that if the locals like it, it must be worth a visit. So far this rule of thumb has never let us down in whatever country we were visiting. We had a warm welcome, another good sign, and were shown to a table for two close by a window so that we could eat and watch the world go by, so to speak. We were presented with menus and the wine list. My wife decided upon a pizza and I settled for one of my favourites, spaghetti bolognese. My wife chose a French beer as she likes to try the local brews. I chose a small carafe of Bordeaux red wine, enough for two glasses with the meal. The food soon arrived. The pizza looked enormous and my wife tucked in with gusto. My spaghetti was a vey generous helping and was very tasty. Having both enjoyed our dinner I was pleased to find that the bill (l'addition as I learnt) was very reasonable. I will recommend this restaurant to all staying in the area of the boulevard Voltaire and who are looking for good food and wine in pleasant company.More
Went to Le Dumas Cafe for lunch and was a very pleasant experience. The staff were very friendly and the food was delicious. A good place for a bit to eat.
We had a lovely lunch there, the service was impeccable, the food was beautifully fresh and well priced! I strongly recommend the daily specials - geared towards seasonal produce.
We've chosen this restaurant as it looked as a very typical place in Paris to have an authentic food and watch the street view of this romantic city. It paid off - the food was true French including dessert, nice service
Tonight was very cold, so I didn't want to stray far from my hotel. I had Thai for lunch, so I wanted something a bit closer to home. The Dumas Cafe presents itself as a pasta and pizza place. From the moment I entered I...was greeted by the smiling and helpful waiter, who sat me down at a suitable table. The service was faultless. I came here because I wanted a light meal, so pasta was perfect. I ordered an escalope of veal with a pasta sauce. The wine (a Cote du Rhone red) was very nice. When my meal arrived, I was served a schnitzel with a tomato spaghetti on the side. The schnitzel was bleeding and under-cooked. The pasta did not have a tomato flavour. In fact, I was completely stumped as to what the flavour was, except that it was quite unpleasant. I had been given a large parmesan shaker, but the parmesan had no flavour, so it could have been stale. The coffee was good. The service was excellent. The food was possibly the worst I have had in France.More
We were staying down the street at the Grand Hotel and wandered into the Dumas Cafe to get a cup of coffee. It was a cute little cafe and everyone was nice. We went back for dinner three times because the food was so good...and the staff so friendly. Mario was our waiter on two occasions. He was kind, accomodating and took pride in the cafe and the food that was served. It was a great little Italian cafe! We felt like we wer having dinner with our new adopted family!More
