We choose it because it was close to the Odeon and Google told us it was the best Japanese restaurant around. Don´t know the rest but this one was top marks. The service, led by Yuko, was so polite and helpful it felt like being in Japan. More importantly with the food it felt that way to. Their speciality is... More

A tiny Japanese restaurant in Quartier Latin. This is not a Chinese restaurant converted into a Japanese one, but a real one with a Japanese chef. The restaurant has seating at street level and a long table for 8-10 persons in the basement. So if youndo not make reservations in time, you might end up in the basement, and share... More

This is a tiny little Left Bank restaurant on a quiet street, with great service and fabulous Japanese food (with a slightly French flair). Not a tourist place at all! Dishes are beautifully presented, and the food is fresh and delicious. The staff are all extremey helpful. It was a delightful evening!

At the recommendation of the server, we both elected to split the chef's choice. It was amazing. I can't recall what everything was except to say the presentation, portions size, and taste was all fantastic! It's a small restaurant but luckily we were able to be seating without a reservation after about 20 minutes. The service was attentive although it... More

This restaurant is really the pits. I had been there before and didn't like it, but I went back with a friend today. I thought perhaps I had made an error. I didn't. It has the distinction of being the worst Japanese restaurant I've ever been in. And I've been to Japan many times, stayed there for weeks at a... More

We were craving some Japanese food and remembered our previous visit to Azabu, we went back twice on this trip! A small restaurant, but authentic, quality food and good service, we recommend since it can be hard to find really good Japanese food in Paris!

I finally tried Azabu after several visits to Paris and several stays at the hotel around the corner. The food was good but definitely overpriced. The menu is also limited and wasn't what it appeared online.

You better make a reservation as this very good japanese restaurant is small. And qite full on the evenings as it is open on sundays! Very nice lady at the reception, very sweet people explaining everything and very very good food (the crab with saké is unforgettable!! )

Great food and perhaps the best service I've ever had in restaurant in Paris. I came here completely jet-lagged and extremely tired but this place really was well worth going to. Focus is not just sushi so the variety of japanese food offered is very interesting but less so if you're just looking for sushi.

We've been coming to Azabu for years. Every time we visit Paris we make a pilgrimage to this restaurant. I consider Azabu one of the best Japanese restaurants in the world outside of Japan. The food is really special and the Fois Gras over rice is easily one of the best things in life to eat! The fois gras is... More

Staying in Odeon / Saint-Michel

Neighbourhood Profile
Odeon / Saint-Michel
As the bustling center of entertainment for the residents of the Rive Gauche, the activity at Odéon never stops. Boulevards are lined with traditional cafes, restaurants, and boutique cinemas. The streets surrounding the fountain at Saint-Michel provide eateries from around the world. Lively bars are just next door and the prototypical terraced French brasserie is on every corner. The setting for this area is second to none; the Haussmann-style boulevards are contrasted by monumental architecture and overshadowed by the iconic Notre Dame, all within a moment’s walk from the Seine. This neighbourhood's world-famous bookshops, cafés, and streets will not fail to impress you.
