We were a little confused whether we should eat here, after reading some negative reviews..We decided to go in..And oh boy, we were in for a good surprise ! I ordered the pancakes with maple syrup and a cup of latte and my partner ordered for the lumberjack's breakfast and hot chocolate.. everything was done perfectly. Service was prompt and... More

Very busy American Diner in the heart of the Marais - food was OK, nothing special but filled a hole.

First of all it is very dirty..dust was all over ..behind the posters on the wall.... second food is super oily and bad quality. Bread tasted like paper and we are talking about cafe in Paris ( bread paradise ) . If you are looking for big portions and bad quality its a place to be ..otherwise avoid !

We came here to have a big breakfast/brunch. The room was 80% packed, we sat in a booth for 4, but the waitress told us to sit at a table for 2, bacause there should have been some bigger group coming. Imagine the TINIEST table in the world. I'm talking a dollhouse table here! Even the menus did not fit... More

My boyfriend and I were on a short break away and researched where was good to have some breakfast/brunch. BIA appeared a few times so we decided to check it out. I had the blueberry and white chocolate pancakes which I can hands down say, were the best pancakes I've ever had!! The milkshakes are also lovely and the staff... More

We are Americans living temporarily in Paris, and occasionally crave a hearty eggs/bacon/pancakes breakfast. This is the place that imported the real American breakfast to Paris. They serve burgers and other diner items, but we always get the breakfast (available all-day), which is topped-off with a stack of pancakes (order the real maple syrup -- it's worth the small up-charge)!... If you're jonzin for bacon, sausage, omelettes, cereal and pancakes just like Momma makes back home, hit up BIA in Paris. Set in a 1950's diner motif and playing 1950's music, the food is good, the service is good, and the atmosphere is just right.

Busy and compact diner, good pancakes, service and coffee but expensive for what it serves. Busy with American students and visitors (no surprise). Better value at crepe stall across the road. Staff very pleasant and efficient.

The burger was good, well-cooked, tasted great, nice bun and toppings. But the fries were so bad, I couldn't eat them. They must have come frozen. Honestly, McDonald's serves better fries. The wait staff was inattentive. Not just to me. Other people had to wait for ages just to place an order. The waiters all congregate amongst themselves at the... More

Great place to experience the typical american breakfast! The ambiance is nice. The pancakes and burger are amazing! And the price range is very acceptable.

Staying in Quartier Latin

Neighbourhood Profile
Quartier Latin
The Latin Quarter bursts with intellectual life, architectural splendour and ongoing merriment. The small streets are filled with classical buildings, student bars and lively eateries while the squares are dominated by historic monuments. The area is defined by the 800-year-old Sorbonne University, where Latin once prevailed, and is famous for the Pantheon which celebrates the great men and women of France. During the day students rush from classes to the library and intellectuals people watch from the terraced cafés. As night time falls the surrounding establishments fill up and the merriment really begins. The liveliest parts are around Rue Mouffetard, lined with crêperies and international street food eateries, and Place de la Contrescarpe characterised by terraced brasseries, this neighbourhood provides real nourishment for the mind, belly, and soul.
