Delicious Cantonese restaurant! The ideal place for authentic dim-sum and refined Cantonese gastronomy. The restaurant boasts an elegant dimly lit decor with tasteful Chinese antiques displayed in shelves. Mrs. Ly’s special spiced beef salad is a must! It draws influences from Indochina and other South...East Asian nations. I have lived in Hong Kong for years and Chez Ly is in my opinion, the finest upscale Cantonese restaurant in Paris. There are 5 establishments and I enjoy the Avenue Niel’s outlet. Though I would strongly recommend the recently renovated flagship behind the Champs Élysées (rue Lord Byron).More

Don't mind spending good money on good food and service and this place had neither. Fake fine dinning. Arguably, the food was average at best and would say it is a notch above Panda express. Don't be fooled by the nice linen and silverware. Over...€20 for caramel chicken is too much when it's not that good. Of all places in Paris, I hope you don't end up here.More

I visited chez Ly for the first time during my last trip to Paris after a friend recommended it and it was AMAZING! The atmosphere was very cosy and relaxed Chez Ly food was amazing, especially the Nem (chicken spring rolls) and har gau (shrimp...dumpling). I also loved the shrimp with thai basil and the cantonese rice. I really recommend this restaurant if you are looking for nice home made style chinese food.More

My girlfriend and I are from Australia and only speak some basic greetings of French. When we entered the restaurant we were greeted in French. We politely asked if he spoke English to which we were rudely replied “no”. From that point on we were...almost shut off from the waiters. We ordered just 1 entre and 1 main with some rice to share, in which the waiters said (quite bluntly) that it wasn’t enough. After we had finished this we were still a little hungry and thought we would order more. When I asked for the menu back, the two waiters laughed at us as if to say that they knew we would need more food. We could then not even get the waiters attention for over 10 minutes to try and order more food so decided to call it a night. 4 spring rolls, boiled rice for 2 people, 1 chicken main and 2 beers cost €60. Extremely expensive for what we got although it was good food. The service undoubtedly ruined our dinner and would highly recommend people try any of the other 10 restaurants within 50 metres of Chez Ly instead.More

We were greeted and seated most engagingly and courteously. Good table w lots of room. Excellent Cha Gao (spring rolls) served w good lettuce and sauces. Potage au crabe et aux asperges was very flavorful and temperature hot. Raviolis vietnamiens à la vapeur were OK...but disappointing, not hot enough and sort of tough. Côtes de veau au poivre (spécialité du chef) sur pl. chauffante was very flavorful and Poulet à la mode sichuannaise was very tasty and good contrast. No room for desert. There are several locations with apparently similar menus. The concierge recommended this location over two other Chez Lys that were closer. Obviously recommended.More

I've been in this restaurant very recently. The place is very cosy and romantic. The employees super kind and service is great. The food is at the same level: very delicious Thai and Chinese dishes, wonderful flavours.

Service is impeccable, but prices are too high for an average food quality. Portions are kind of small as well. Not really recommended.
