An unprepossessing restaurant but a happy surprise. We had lunch there several times. There were 5 plats du jour. I had the tuna, a generous portion artistically presented and at 15 euros, reasonably priced. The service was good. The only downside is the rather ugly...toilet.More

Had a drink in this funky interior cafe. We arrived after the kitchen was closed but we were able to get a charcuterie plate. It was quite generous in portion. Service prompt and efficient.

Stopped in for coffee and wound up staying for brunch. Best decision we made. One of the better restaurants while in Paris. The manager on duty, Omar, was great and our bartender/server, Jean-Yves, was fantastic. Took the time to chat with us, go over the...menu and give suggestions on where to go that day! Amazing experience!! Food was delicious and made fresh. Perfect!More

After a little walking tour along Canal St. Martin, my husband and I stopped in for a little lunch at Cafe Prune. It was delicious, much better than expected by its modest appearance. It is a popular place, we were lucky to get a table...outside on a lovely sunny afternoon. Service was friendly and excellent. We shared a veal dish that was accompanied by spinach, roasted potatoes, sautéed mushrooms and a foamy green sauce. Everything was excellent and plenty for the two of us. Nice little wine list and good coffee. Great place to rest and watch neighborhood activities. Lots of young families.More

We had a delicious brunch in this warm and friendly restaurant across the street from the Canal Saint Martin. It’s a neat neighborhood tucked away next to the Place de la Republique. Highly recommended.

I'd be really surprised if it wasn't. This is not a posh restaurant. It services a lot of locals so I should think it is open all year round.
