Great food, good happy hour drinks. Come for the burgers which are a classic here in Paris. The waitress was not all that well informed of the menu, but very nice and smiley. A Paris classic.

Joe Allen saved the day. If you are in Paris and looking for your typical American fare, Joes is a great option. Joe Allen is like many restaurants in American. They serve your classic cheeseburger, steak, etc. stay away from the buffalo wings because it's not real buffalo sauce. The staff were very nice and helpful. Great place to also... More

Per TripAdvisor, we had Thanksgiving dinner...your choice of ham or turkey...our table had both and split. The turkey and ham were delicious, as were the stuffing, mash potatoes, sweet potatoes and greenbeans. Tasted like Thanksgiving at home...would highly recommend if you are in Paris for Thanksgiving. Service was leisurely, so don't be in a hurry!

We went as it was close to our hotel. Lovely little restaurant with friendly staff. We both had cheeseburgers and it was amazing!!! Lovely and festive decorations too.

PRO'S: This is the go to spot in Paris for folks craving American food. We did 2016 Thanksgiving dinner here and enjoyed. Served well made guacamole & chips when seated and had fabulous gravy with solid dishes. Bourbon Pecan Pie for dessert was real deal. Had a rose' bottle with dinner and lots of selection on wine list. CON'S: Only... More

My first trip to New York was at Joe Allen in the 70s. "First hamburger in Paris". Aux Halles. One always says it was better before. But I've never stopped visiting this French vision of America since then. Anyway here vision is not so far from reality. A classic diner. Inside hardwood decor, red brick walls, long mahogany bar, round... More

My family was in Paris during Thanksgiving week and we really were bummed that we weren't having our traditional turkey for the holiday. I looked up restaurants last minute that would have a turkey dinner. I saw rave reviews about this place and luckily they and space the day before Thanksgiving but were sold out for Thanksgiving day. The food... More

Staying in Les Halles

Neighbourhood Profile
Les Halles
Historically the central iron-clad market of Paris, Les Halles has evolved architecturally since then but the pulsating energy has stayed the same. Now it houses the main shopping mall, which nestles underground surrounded by fast-food take-aways and international restaurants coupled with beautiful churches and the old commodity exchange. Parallel to it are the high-street stores of Rue de Rivoli and just parallel to that the Seine. The area bustles with faces from all continents and all ages at all times of the day. If enjoying high-street shopping with easy access to fast eateries and lively bars is on your agenda, this is the place to go.
