My wife and I had lunch here and were impressed by the menu but especially by the quality and sophistication of the fare in every respect. Wonderfully subtle, creative combinations of surf & turf. Also excellent suggestions for wine pairing. I would guess that this is one of the finest restaurants in St-Malo.

After sightseeing in the morning, a few glasses of wine and a long walk we stumbled across this restaurant. We were offered a table straight away. The place was lovely and clean. We sat right under the big wall clock and the waiter was very helpful when taking the order as we don't speak French. I Had langoustine ravioli for... More

Very good restaurant in the heart of Paris. Everyrhing looks nice, from the style of the rooms to the service (more than bilingual, french - english). And the food is even better than the rest! I've eaten a delicious starter (fish, cheese and green lemon sauce) and a magnificent Noix St.Jaques plus rice. Furthermore, a bottle of wine had a... More

An original menu catering for most tastes with good service and much animation. Very conveniently placed with a choice of terrace or inside. Helps to be a regular! Good and inexpensive wine list.

Very nice restaurant located near the Louvre. Friendly, accommodating staff in a very busy, popular establishment. The cuisine is French, with a twist. We began with the "hot duck" which comes as a sandwich in a croissant, and squid carbonara, which was delectably tender. Both excellent. We had crispy lamb ravioli and artichoke pasta as mains and were both very... More

The rib steak looked beautiful but was impossible to chew. (I'm a young woman and usually have no such problems with meat:)) The impression was ruined.

I picked this place because I read they had options for vegetarians and my sister in law is one. I'm glad I read that because everything we had was delicious! One of the best meals we had in Paris. Our server spoke English much better than I speak French. She translated the daily special menu for us and gave us... More

L'absinthe delivers exceptional quality and value for money. Their reinvention of classic French cuisine is intriguing and relevant to the modern palette. My lamb ravioli was absolutely brilliant. Highly recommended.

I stopped in for dinner the night I landed - jet lagged & tired. I had a wonderful meal of roast chicken & an amazing dessert - cream puffs with carmel ice cream. I'd go back just for champagne & dessert.

Brilliant food, friendly staff, great service, great surroundings! Typically, Despite speaking no French the waitress was happy to explain aspects of the menu just to be sure I, we were aware of what we had ordered.....could've taken the order no matter what, nice touch I thought!

Description
L'Absinthe is a "bistrot de cuisinier", a cooks' bistrot, firmly modern. The menu is entirely created, tested and produced in the restaurant's kitchen. Every single task from the slicing of vegetables to the seasoning of sauces including the filleting of fish, is executed in situ from A to Z. Each dish conveys the creative family spirit at the rate of the seasons and inspired by their different journeys around the world.
The restaurant's interior design will also make you feel this travelling and dynamic atmosphere: you will eat in setting which is a mix between a typical Parisian bistrot and a loft in New York.
