The food here is quite tasty and innovative. The menu, at 38 euro, represents great value for what you're getting in terms of food quality. However, it is quite cramped. The service, though very warm and friendly, could clearly use another staff person. Would happily go back on one of their quieter nights...

We passed by this small restaurant several times and when we looked at the menu on the window decided to give it a try. A small but focused menu that is simply excellent. A very hardworking small staff who spoke perfect english. Everything seems to be fresh and delicious. Lots of locals go here. Good prices and excellent food. Check... More

My wife and I had dinner at L'Ardoise recently and it was ok. The restaurant is quite small, expect to get to know your neighbors thru dinner. Food was ok, certainly in no way bad, but also rather unremarkable. My wife had beef loin and I had a pork chop. Both were fine, but not the best dishes we enjoyed... More

We have been visiting L'Ardoise for the last decade, since they had the more relaxed setting of a small country eatery, where you shared tables with other people. We didn't give up on it when they did their somewhat cold redecoration a few years back, and it still hasn't failed us, as the food is often delicious. Since that first... More

We ate here early by Parisian standards, (before 7:30), so there were not many diners, that changed as we got closer to 7:30. Our first waitress was very friendly but a large group came in and she went to serve them in the downstairs area. The next server was very businesslike. We got our food on time but were not... More

Our hotel recommended this to us for our last night and Paris and it was a wonderful meal! Although a small restaurant (avoid if you are uncomfortable with close quarters), it was not overwhelming to be so close to others and took nothing away from the dining experience. I would recommend making reservations if you are not going early (as... More

This is my favorite restaurant in Paris for lunch or dinner. Simple, authentic, affordable, friendly and not pretentious. I go for lunch and then dinner same day. A three course menu with so many great options to choose from and changes daily. Fresh ingredients and interesting dishes including French classics such as chicken fricase. Good selection of wines as well.... More

Great desserts. Service a little haughty. We sat outside so we could people watch and we were not disappointed. Good coffee and excellent chocolate cake

Delicious French cuisine, cozy atmosphere, very good and efficient service and hospitality. Food is really very tasty, good wine options. Make sure you save a space for desert.
