We visited for breakfast. Service was good as the waitress tried to understand us with limited English, which was communicated well. Food tasted average and certainly not something you would go back again for.

We had lunch there today: chestnut soup for my wife and a salad of endive with blue cheese for me, followed by rump steak with pepper sauce and aligote for both of us. With a half litre of Touraine between us the bill came to less than 50 euros which is very reasonable. It's a place unspoilt by progress and... More

Our family had a lovely evening at L'Armagnac Cafe in late January. This small bar/restaurant has a warm woody atmosphere, lovely food and wine, and is excellent value. The delightful Clemence made us feel so welcome and dispelled any myths about Parisian arrogance or rudeness (even though we were a non-french-speaking family with three kids!). The food was delicious -... More

I was making my way back from a splendid meal at the nearby Chez Paul when I had a sudden yen for a nightcap and the sight of the large screen TV showing the PSG match was enough of a draw to lead me into L'Armagnac. On arrival, I was warmly greeted, although denied an ale option - L'Armagnac seems... More

First you see this bar you are attracted by amazing old styled design. I love that there are a few sections inside and in summer you can seet at high wooden tables. People in the bar are very polite and nice. And the big plus is that its not touristic place, so its quite authentic and very Parisian.

This was a lovely cafe bistro near the Bastille which served simple but excellent food. The bavette was cooked just as requested. I see another reviewer has knocked the burger but I question why someone would come to Paris and choose a burger over everything else?! The house wine was delicious. The service was spot on -relaxed but attentive. All... More

We have been attracted by the location typical from Paris. Service is fine but the food is a disaster. Boring cheap and too expensive. People from Paris inside means that do not care about food.

Lovely atmosphere in the heart of Le Marais. Staff are great, warm, friendly and food excellent in this gay friendly, chilled restaurant. Ideal for couples and friends, whatever your sexuality. Daily specials top notch as was the wine choice.m

The ambiance, music selection is great, but the service can be annoying, the guy is too friendly, and the burger is not good. Other food selection seemed ok.
