I had enjoyed this restaurant in the past; however, it did not live up to the memory. The wine was perfect and the sommelier/waiter super, but the steak dinner was not good. The Pate was great as an appetizer.

This is not a cheap place where you go to drink copious amounts of wine. Here you can buy Bordeaux wines by the glass or the bottle. The two people that run the bar can talk you through what you are drinking and bring you a little cheese. Goodness the wine and cheese are the best I have ever had.... More

We were placed in the Center and were lucky to run into this bistro. Cozy place with lovely wait staff and a great selection of wine. The portions are big, good for sharing. We returned once again although we were only 4 days in Paris.

Read a lot of great reviews about this place so decided to eat here for dinner. Food was good (we had the charcuterie and the chocolate cake), wait staff was attentive and the wine was fantastic.

This is a sweet wine bar right on the Seine. A small, cozy place with lovely wait staff and a terrific selection of wine. So nice for a stop before dinner.

Well located in the heart of paris. The wine list is not extremely impressive but with good quality. Nice staff and relativly cheap.

Good bistro, nice service and good plates to share. They sell wine at the retail price + 6 euros corkage fee, which is a good deal considering you did not pay double price for the wine.

Very nice restaurant. Had the dry sausage and cured ham as an appetizer with a glass of white wine. Followed by goose rillettes which were great. Finally a plate of rillettes, foie gras, duck gesiers confits and magret de canard (pardon my English, don’t know the translation). All was excellent. The wine by the glass choice is impressive. Will return... More

My wife, son and I've spent so many happy afternoons at L'ecluse. As a small kid, our son fell in love with the Steak Tartare and Charcuterie Platter. La Coupole and La Bookiniste are great dinner spots. For lunch, walk over to L'ecluse. Jolie!!

Staying in Odeon / Saint-Michel

Neighbourhood Profile
Odeon / Saint-Michel
As the bustling center of entertainment for the residents of the Rive Gauche, the activity at Odéon never stops. Boulevards are lined with traditional cafes, restaurants, and boutique cinemas. The streets surrounding the fountain at Saint-Michel provide eateries from around the world. Lively bars are just next door and the prototypical terraced French brasserie is on every corner. The setting for this area is second to none; the Haussmann-style boulevards are contrasted by monumental architecture and overshadowed by the iconic Notre Dame, all within a moment’s walk from the Seine. This neighbourhood's world-famous bookshops, cafés, and streets will not fail to impress you.
