Yes, really on the cozy side. Arrived at opening to find others waiting, too. Starters for two - small ravioli w/swiss cheese filling - best ever, just little pillows in your mouth. Cucumber salad for wife. Entrees - veal with mushrooms, beef stew special that night. All dishes were wonderfully prepared. As is often the case, 1 cook one table... More

This is only a small place. Maybe 8-10 tables over 2 rooms. One room is the kitchen as well. We booked with the chef who was preparing for the night. The meal was sensational but we suggest you stick with The chefs specials as he does go to a lot of trouble. We found this a very different place and... More

Fantastic meal and service. Stumbled upon this restaurant via Trip Advisor. My husband had the veal in mushroom and cream sauce and I had the steak with shallots and white wine. Waiter spoke English and helped us with the daily specials. Wine was fantastic and reasonably priced.

I have been blessed to have a lot of great meals in my life, this is another one. The chef personally explains the specials and menu. Get one of the specials, at least an appetizer. I had a special appetizer that was the best ravioli of my life. I felt a slightly weepy eating it. The veal steak was perfectly... More

We enjoyed this restaurant very much. It has been run by the same family for over 50 years. The service was great. The food and wine were excellent. I had veal and my husband had beef. Served with amazing sauce and wonderful fries. It felt very "French" --Just what we were looking for. It was recommended by our hotel.

Based on my past wonderful experience here, I chose La Cordonnerie as the place to take two French friends to celebrate their 30th anniversary. Unfortunately, our evening was not what I expected, though it started out pleasantly enough. We all enjoyed the cozy atmosphere -- two tiny rooms with about eight tables -- and liked the small a la carte... More

This was the best restaurant we found in Paris. We liked it so much, we went there four times during our trip and Chef Hugo and server Jeremy made it a wonderful experience on every occasion. We tried other highly rated venues (some with Michelin stars) and we kept wanting to go back to La Cordonnerie. The highlights were the... More

We enjoyed a beautiful evening in this most intimate restaurant. It is tiny, only a few tables, and family run- in fact, we were advised that the same family has run it for 52 years, and they are on their 3rd generation at this point. The food is divine; I enjoyed a rillette of chicken on toast followed by amazing... More

This is a small cozy restaurant in the middle of Paris. We were seated right in view of the chef who came over to tell us about the specials he was preparing for the evening. Our server was fantastic and the food was to die for. I am so glad we came here because it really made our trip that... More
