We went to this bistro on our last night in Paris at the recommendation of our concierge. It was fantastic! The decor is done with soft lighting, but not too dim to where you can't see your menu. The service is very intimate, as the place is small, and from what I saw it is just a family who runs... More

This restaurant was booked by a friend who eats here regularly. Unfortunately he was unable to make it but we kept the reservation and are pleased we did. The waiter was delightful and the food excellent. Turns out mother and son run front of house while dad is in the kitchen. If you want somewhere a little off the beaten... More

The restaurant is rather small but the decoration is pretty nice, I recommend to book round table to have more "exclusive" meal, the chef is very friendly and always around . I had many times there amazing veal chop either with little roasted potatoes or wild mushroom... a must !

We had the plat du jour for lunch and had expected somehow something better, something more, since it was rather expensive for a plat du jour.

We went to the restaurant after the concierge at our hotel highly recommended them. We weren't sure if we were going to be able to get a table, as we didn't make reservations. Fortunately, they went ahead and seated us, despite a busy night. The food we had was fresh and very tasty. The lobster bisque was excellent and plentiful,... More

This didn’t work out as we had hoped. A well regarded, if modest location. For us, the perfect combination of elements: chef-owned, wife in the front, small, diverse a la carte menu with interesting choices, ambition in seeming proportion to what they try to deliver. In most respects we were not disappointed. The food was quite good, if pricey. The... More

Small menu that inspires fresh food but still diversified. Several typical french meals among wich we tried : snails, scallops, morels, and epaule concluding with chocolate moelleux. Very good meal and lovely hosts who accepted to receive our family of five late for dinner (this is exceptional in Paris!).

We found this delightful family run bistro by chance and it was absolute heaven! The charming family run place was all we hoped it would be. Reasonably priced with an equally reasonably priced wine list, we ate Wild Boar casserole and roasted Wild Duck, completed by the speciality of the house, Rhum Baba. Excellent. Now our place to head for... More

A small local family-run restaurant. We had the delicious snails in parsley butter and a lovely wild duck with mushrooms stew. Some of the best I've tasted! Very nice staff by mother and son. I really recommend it if you want to experience the typical French cuisine with high quality.

If you are looking for traditional bistrot cuisine with great food and reasonable price, this is the place to go. The wine list is greatly prices as well and the staff will guide you according to your choice of food. Must go. I am always visiting Lauriston every chance I have while in Paris.

Staying in Trocadero

Neighbourhood Profile
Trocadero
This is the neighbourhood of grand and impressive Haussmann-designed apartments and buildings. National museums overlook the Eiffel Tower and embassies fill the avenues and streets. Locals head to the butcher, florist, or bakery on their daily rounds amidst luxury and splendour, all with a view over Paris and its most famous tower. Snuggled in between the grand buildings are small art galleries and homes of historical significance. With a rich legacy from 19th century politics, art, and architecture, you can’t help but be reminded of the belle époque, the Universal Exhibitions and the nobility that have frequented and shaped these streets.
