I agree with previous reviews...le Bistro de Oies is the exact restaurant every tourist in Paris hopes to eat at during their visit. Picturesque, lovely, delicious...it's pretty perfect in most ways if you're looking for a reasonably priced classic French meal.

This little place looks exactly like what every tourist expects a French bistro to look like. Unfortunately most of them don't anymore. Le Bistro Des Oies, however, has a small bar and two seating areas, the larger of these on the back side of the restaurant. It is about as comfortable as wooden chairs and tables can be. Food is... I noticed this place while out walking and just knew I had to go there. It's a lovely jewel box of a place with warm lighting and cozy atmosphere. My friend and I returned at night and were not disappointed. The staff were so friendly and the food was excellent.

There were 6 of us and we ordered 3 two course meals that we split. The staff was very accommodating. Our waiter recommended a bottle of wine that we enjoyed. Really enjoyed the location near Canal St Martin. The escargot was the only thing that I didn't love- everything else was wonderful. The 2 different duck dishes and the steak... More

We ate at this restaurant several times during our trip to Paris. The waiters were very friendly, professional and really took care of the kids at our table by giving them sticker and drawing books to keep them busy while we dined at the restaurant. The food was nicely prepared and presented and very tasty. I definitely recommend this restaurant... More

It’s a cosy place with an elaborate decor and friendly service, prices are not ridiculous as one might expect in Paris. It’s not the place for a vegetarian or someone that would look for light dishes, here everything is good but rich, you have been warned (you could have guessed it from the name, could you not?). The waiter advised... More

Lovely staff. So friendly! Pretty inside. Good deal for a 3 course meal - roughly 26 euros. The beetroot & goats cheese terrine was tasty along with the seabass for main. The snails with garlic butter were delish. The chocolate fondant was rich & gooey. Mmm - lovely. Lots of choices for wine in addition with quantity - glass, quarter... More

Just loved it! Very cozy place with friendly staff. Very good French food I ordered a cheese as starter, Filé mignon for main course and for dessert a chocolate fondant. As it was the 20th November we had two different bottles of the new Beaujolais. We paid around 60€ per person.
