Le Congress in Port Mail lot is a gem of a restaurant in a cozy neighborhood in Northwest Paris. With a varied menu of beef, seafood and vegetable entrees, there are choices for every taste. They have a nightly fixed price menu at 37€ which includes a several choices in a five-course meal and a half bottle of wine for... More

went twice , once for business meeting, tea/cocktail time, on the avenue de la grande armée side , felt perfectly isolated from the hectic traffic on streets and sidewalk . not crowded , great traditional parisian "brasserie" service. second time for diner: , for the spectacular " plateau de fruits de mer " amazingly fresh , prepared on order. great... Went with large party service was good but food dissapointing. My steak was meant to be a rib eye. This looked nothing like any rib eye I have ever eaten. Meat was tough and overcooked. French onion soup well best described as very ordinary. I couldn't recommend this place to eat.

We went there because it is close to our accomodation place, and also due to Tripadvisor reccomandation. Staied outside, took arround 20 minutes for somebody to talk to us/give us menus, etc. We recived only french menus :( unfortunatelly, after another 25 minutes we left, because nobody took our order :(

Recently in Paris for a long weekend. A Parisian native took us to this restaurant. Food was delicious. Prices were towards the mid- high end but worth it. Mostly fish dishes. Waiters/staff were all very nice and didn't mind speaking English!

attended for a business dinner, had a lovely smoked salmon starter, beef and crime brûlée with a nice bottle of red wine. The service was good and nice decor, really enjoyed it.

We had dinner in this brasserie with friends and had an enjoyable evening. We had "sole à la plancha" that was excellent with a good Mercurey wine. The price is relatively high since it came up to over 50€ per person ( we only took one dish and sorbet for dessert).

As a great fan of this restaurant having visited several times over the past 20 years we looked forward to our dinner with relish. We were shown to a downstairs window table but were stuffed in a corner overwhelmed by drapes and battling with a lamp fitting. It was the quietest we have ever seen Le Congres which could have... Ate here often during the 1980s and it was always wonderful. Returned mid December 2016 and decor & service were fine, apart from no cloaking facility offered. Had a "Prestige" platter and while the oysters & bulots were ok the langoustines were tired, the lobster and crab suffered from being frozen. I have never had dry, chewy lobster meat before!...
