had typical, unhealthy..., option : snails and steak the snails could have been a little hotter but the steak was tender and tasty. I asked for vegetables (this is France...) but got a very nice fresh casserole of vegetables and not just rabbit stuff would go again for sure

The most expensive meal I have ever had! Walked in off the street with friends for our last night in Paris. Seafood platter (shared with a friend) was amazing and HUGE! wish I could get a doggy bag! Freshest of fresh, everything was wonderful, and the atmosphere in the beautiful Art Nouveau room was lovely! Definitely come again, but will... More

Decoration Art Deco is nice. But it's the only advantage of this place: the food is ready in 5 min (you surely understand what it's mean), the risotto is not a risotto - it's an overcooked rice which is purely uneatable, raviolis are not fresh, undercooked and barely eatable too. And of course everything is overpriced because of the location.... More

Perfect spot in a traditional Parisian brasserie for a boozy lunch and a bit of people watching. Not cheap but then not silly expensive either. Food and wine were spot on. Only gripe was that the place was all a bit dusty, I guess it adds to the character in some ways but really it could do with a bit... More

This is a historic cafe, which opened in 1875. Historically, one of the things it is famous for is being a location where Lumiere introduced his new kind of photography - pictures that moved! We call them movies now :). It is near the Opera House, in a very central location. The main floor is handicap accessible, although perhaps a... More

We had dinner at Le Grand Cafe Capucines on our first night in Paris and loved the theatre of the decor and service. The food was very good, the restaurant specialises in fresh fish and shellfish, and had particularly good oysters. An expensive but very good meal in an amazing setting.

Among the 14000 restaurants in Paris, some ar just more Parisian than others. This one is almost an epitome of Parisian life as we all like to think of it. Although without the often seen downsides of bullying waiters and classical Parisian arrogance. We got a table in the glass terraced part - the most attractive place, I guess, as... More

I really feel comfortable every time I visit this brasserie. Whether I sit indoors or outdoors even on the cold weather it is well heated. The food is very good as well as the service. No complaints there, friendly atmosphere for drinks or dining. A good place for families.

I went here for an early diner (17h) and it was a good choice. The waitress was very friendly, she showed me how to eat a Mille feuille which can be challenging and did her best to take a photo of me. The restaurant is beautiful with lots of stained glass. Unfortunate not much of a view as buses park... More

Description
The restaurant's refined decor is a faithful illustration of the Art Nouveau style, with its original mosaics and its crystal Saint-Louis chandeliers a truly Parisian institution located on the Place des Ternes. The head chef prepares a refined, traditional French cuisine using the freshest ingredients. An immensely popular restaurant with both Parisians and discerning tourists, who appreciate beautifully prepared food.

Staying in Opera / Bourse

Neighbourhood Profile
Opera / Bourse
The neighbourhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades, and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here, modern day workers continue to take advantage of the legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theatres, and cinemas sit side by side with French bistros predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in another. The area is most famous for the Palais Garnier opera house and glamorous department stores.
