Service is average. Seafood is very good, especially the oysters. But....STAY AWAY FROM MEAT! I ordered an "entrecôte" and it was horrible. I could not eat it; it was mainly tendons, tough and flavorless. We tried to talk to the Maître and he was nowhere...More

Came based on local friend’s recommendation. Onion soup was very uneven. Mine hardly had any onions and another’s had too much. Soup stock was very watery. Rib eye was a bit tough but the beef fillet was cooked right on temperature asked and was good....More

Outrageous price for average quality items and poor service. I was overcharged for a mediocre wine. The waiter was rude even for French standards.

This restaurant is located very near the Opera. They specialize in seafood. The setting is full art nouveau, and you can get a table with view of the street on the second floor . Eat delicious, and well treated. That's why we return.

Location-wise: It's an excellent place. Service-wise: very considerate and caring. Food-wise: I am a tad disappointed about the foods, the steak is beyond well-done. The breads are not as soft in the inside and as crispy in the outside.

Living abroad in a different cultural environment it is always with great pleasure we come for diner at Grand Cafe des Capucines to enjoy the best seafood platter in Paris ( Royal Plateau) in a typical Parisian brasserie environment. The experience would not be complete...More

This is a lovely place. Centrally located, close to buses and subway. Old charm hotel in the style of the late 1800s, and early 1900s. Try and book a table next to the windows, and bookings are important! Place is known for it's sea food...More

We dined here last Sunday evening. Despite reserving a table, the welcome/greeting was tense and awkward. After a few minutes, we were shown to our table. The menu is good - not over complicated but offers enough range/variety - the snails are recommended. The food...More

Opera / Bourse
The neighbourhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle
époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades,
and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here,
modern day workers continue to take advantage of the
legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th
century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theatres, and
cinemas sit side by side with French bistros
predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in

Bonjour ! No dress code , this is a tourist area ! Maybe on a Saturday evening , you would be expected to wear ''formal but casual '' as you may see people coming from the Opera in the winter !

The restaurant's refined decor is a faithful illustration of the Art Nouveau style, with its original mosaics and its crystal Saint-Louis chandeliers a truly Parisian institution located on the Place des Ternes. The head chef prepares a refined, traditional French cuisine using the freshest ingredients. An immensely popular restaurant with both Parisians and discerning tourists, who appreciate beautifully prepared food.
